FOR LGBT

IMMIGRANT FAMILIES

STOPPING SEPARATIONS &

CHANGING LAWS

Immigration Equality’s team is waging a groundbreaking legal and policy battle on behalf of LGBT immigrant families.
Families are separated — sometimes permanently — by unfair laws that discriminate against LGBT families. Our strategy is bringing test cases for a few brave couples whose stories we highlight with Congress and the White House.

BRADFORD & ANTHONY FRANCES & TAKAKO
“Tremendous and amazing things are happening with Immigration Equality’s help.”
— Frances Herbert & Takako Ueda
These test cases are helping to win important policy advances, changing public opinion, and paving the way for the full respect of all of our families under federal law. Every branch of government – Congress, the courts, and the White House can do something to end the suffering of LGBT immigrant families. Immigration Equality is pushing each one of them, every day. We won’t stop until all LGBT immigrants and their families are treated fairly and equally.
