e DC powered main units have arrived!
After the successful launch and very positive market feedback for the AC powered main units, Mitsubishi Electric is proud to announce the release of the DC powered main units. e DC powered main units expand the FX3G’s application portfolio even further to all areas where AC power is not available or applicable. From now on users can select the best fitting FX3G CPU from a unique line-up of 24 different main units representing all the possible combinations of power supply type (AC/DC) and output form (relay, transistor sink or transistor source).

Modbus Support
From firmware version 1.30 the FX3G supports Modbus master and slave functionality when equipped with a FX3U-485ADP-MB or FX3U-232ADP-MB. All standard Modbus RTU nodes can be connected and controlled via the FX3G. For easy and straight-forward programming one special command is available for executing Modbus master communication. e convenient parameter set-up of the Modbus slave function makes programming unnecessary. Auto-reply as well as access to all controller data is standard for the slave function.

FX3U -20SSC-H

The FX 3U-20SSC-H is a high-performance 2 axis-positioning block for the FX 3U and FX3UC main units. The module uses the SSCNETIII servo system control network which implements noise-free fiber optic cabling with station-to-station spacing of up to 50m and communication speeds up to 50 Mbps. Servo amplifier and positioning parameters are all saved within the module for easy recovery and re-installation. The block features simultaneous and interpolated 2-axis positioning control by way of operation patterns as well as pre-defined table setup. With its dedicated setup, monitor, and testing software, FX Configurator-FP, all aspects of the servo system can be centrally accessed and adjusted.
Note: When attaching FX3U positioning blocks to an FX3UC main unit, the FX2NC-CNV-IF interface converter or the FX3UC-1PS-5V power supply unit is required. The FX 2N-10GM and FX 2N-20GM positioning blocks are pulse train output units that enable the positioning control of stepping motors or servo motors via the drive unit. The dedicated software uses flow-chart based programming to easily complete simple to complicated positioning tasks. Furthermore, with stand-alone functionality, the FX2N-10GM and FX2N-20GM are able to control up to 48 I/O.
Note: When attaching FX2N positioning blocks to an FX3UC main unit, the FX2NC-CNV-IF interface converter or the FX3UC-1PS-5V power supply unit is required.
