Jewish Arts Center reached presented or promoted 22 contemporary Jewish music and culture events, highlighting our heritage in concerts, classes and festival programs. We enriched understanding and appreciation of the Jewish people's contributions to the world for over 5,500 audience members. 20 ensembles graced the stage for us with nearly 230 performers altogether. We ensured a Jewish voice in the city's cultural institutions, working with the Chicago Cultural Center, Ars Viva Symphony, the Chicago World Music Festival and over a dozen beloved area arts and music venues. KFAR presented the amazing diversity of our cultures through the genres of rock, hip-hop, symphonic, comedy, folk, classical choral, musical theatre, opera, jazz, world, steampunk, Latino, Sephardic or Klezmer and in ten languages including English, Hebrew, Yiddish, Spanish, French, Ladino, Polish, Ukranian, Russian and Arabic.
