“St. Francis Xavier, a welcoming faith community lovingly sharing the gifts of God.”
EPIPHANY OF THE LORD
J A N U A RY 8 T H , 2 0 1 2
PRAYERS FOR THE DECEASED: We pray for our loved ones who have died recently especially Zabrina Rekowski and A. J. Recoskie. PRAYERS FOR THE SICK AND SHUT-IN: “Let us raise up in prayer those who seek God’s healing love, those at the hospital, hospice and at home especially Joan Prince. May your struggle be consoled by Christ’s love“.
How does one express gratitude in a way that truly expresses the sentiment of “thank you“. So many people shared in the preparations for and the celebration of the Christmas season….. beginning with the Parish staff, our extensive volunteers who share in the various ministries and the generous parishioners who so generously reach out to needy and the housebound – A word of “thanks” and a wish for God’s blessings on your New Year. Thanks as well to all who expressed the season with Christmas treats to us on staff here at St. Francis. Our exercise programs will help to distribute your generosity!
ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CEMETERY
We begin the new year with a new management for our local cemetery. Our new board of directors began meeting in the fall. They have hired a person, Colleen Dicker, to be the office manager for the day to day administration of the cemetery. Her duties will commence in February as she begins to set up the office and prepare for the re-opening in the spring. Each administration will operate from individual offices at St. Francis Xavier for the foreseeable future. We look forward to your support in this venture. “We will all be changed by the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor 15:51-58) SUNDAY OFFERING: January 1st:
