Two objectives:

A Task Group consisting of Senior Officers (Cadre controlling authorities and potential participants) and IIMB Faculty A number of Focus Group Discussions Web Based Survey
Contained about 280 items

Each officer can access the questionnaire using his/her id (specially created) and password Printing the questionnaire is possible Possible to save partially filled questionnaires Filled questionnaire is to be submitted through the web

Aptitude for different functions

Different aptitudes required for different specializations were identified A total of 18 were identified A number of items to measure each aptitude were constructed
These were based on tested instruments

A score is given for each aptitude

Domain Knowledge Expertise

Items to identify the extent of domain knowledge in each of the specializations Each items has 5 responses Rank the responses based on your own perception of importance
Score based on final rankings of the entire group

Same is used to measure the alignment with the Department

Composite Score
The scores from all the 4 segments are aggregated These scores are Normalized Each officer gets a particular score in each of the specializations Preferential order is created for each specialization Based on this order (ranking), they are slotted for a particular specialization
