Your team, consisting of: Dini Khoirinnisa Arifin, Azhar Fuadi, Aditya Rian Anggoro and Rahardhika Arista Utama has been selected to participate in the 3rd Annual Global Case Challenge Regional Final - London. An executive committee member from the London team will personally be in touch with you in the coming week to provide further details and a welcome package. Your team was selected from thousands of applications received to participate in this game changing initiative. Kindly share the news with all of your teammates, and begin making travel arrangements to arrive in London at the latest by around 2:00-3:00pm on Friday, February 24, 2012 and plan on departing on Sunday, February 26, 2012. Your next step is to follow this conference registration link: where you can create a profile, check schedules and meet other attendees worldwide along with judges, NGO executives and case authors. Also, please make note of our twitter handle and event hash tag @hultglobalcase and #hgcc as we will be using social media as our main form of communication with everyone. In the next week, a business case will be released to all participating teams via email, twitter, facebook and the Global Case Challenge website ( The team will then have until February 25, 2012 to familiarize themselves with the case study, the identified challenges and begin crafting a possible solution. The event festivities will kick off in the late afternoon on February 24th with an introduction to the case study and challenge, by your respective track's NGO Executive representative, who will also lead a Q&A, followed by a training session and networking mixer. The following morning, you will be welcomed by a special guest speaker and then have 4-5 hours to finalize a slide deck that specifically addresses the challenges being faced. This will be followed by a 12 minute presentation and Q&A to a world-class panel of judges and ultimately, the selection of a winning team. ABOUT THE EVENT Worlds Largest International Case Competition

The Hult Global Case Challenge is the worlds largest international case competition. The annual event brings together the brightest college and university students from around the globe to help solve one of the worlds key social challenges in partnership with sector leading NGOs. The Hult GCC is held simultaneously across all of the Hult International Business Schools campuses, Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai and Shanghai, ensuring the involvement of colleges and universities from around the world. The 2012 Hult Global Case Challenge will be themed around Global Poverty. Under the Global Poverty umbrella, three subject social challenge areas will be tackled through respective individual tracks of competition across five cities. The aim of the 2012 Hult Global Case Challenge is to drive solutions around those key social areas, which we believe have the greatest net impact on global poverty. Through collectively overcoming social challenges in education, energy and housing, it is our belief that we are undertaking global poverty on a grass-roots level. Through what has become the worlds largest crowd-sourcing initiative dedicated to solving global social challenges, the Hult Global Case Challenge seeks ideas and solutions from the worlds best and brightest future business leaders that will cause a step-change in the vicious global poverty cycle. The Hult Global Case Challenge will be held simultaneously around the world through a multi-tiered, international competition platform. Through a call for applicants, teams will be selected to compete at one of five international cities: Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai and Shanghai. The winning team from each track, per city, and the virtual competition will advance to an all-expense paid global final in New York City, where each team will be given the opportunity to present their solution to a world-class panel of executive judges.


The Hult Global Case Challenge is the worlds largest case competition and crowdsourcing platform. Last years initiative attracted more than 100 colleges and universities from as many countries including: Stanford, Harvard, INSEAD, Hult, NYU, Columbia, American University Beirut, Cranfield, LBS, Hitotsubashi, St. Petersburg, Tel-Aviv University and many more. Nearly all of the FT Top 100 MBA programs competed, while two of the five regionals saw undergraduate teams make it to the finals, with one undergraduate team advancing all the way to the Global Final in New York City.

FINALIST PROFILE Monica Utari Mariana (Monica) is undergraduate

student of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia. Having devoted herself either to leadership, environmental, and social activities, in April 2011, she was selected as 1st Winner of The Most Outstanding Student due to her leadership skill, competence of global issues, capability to write scientific paper, adorable English proficiency and achievements. She also became selected participant to join World Leadership Conference (Singapore, 2009), TUNZA International Children and Youth Conference on Environment (Indonesia, 2011), International Camp of Young Environmentalist (Azerbaijan, 2011) and abstract presenter in International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (South Korea, 2011). Realizing her role as change maker, she involved as Vice President in youth empowerment organization called GARUDA Youth Community. Beside that she was the expertise in political and social division of Executive Student Board, Public Health UI. She also joined Community Development Services at Indonesia Outermost Islands, West Papua and she was Project Officer of UI Student Development Program.

Aditya Rian Anggoro (ARA). Born in Bogor, Mei 17th, student of

faculty of economics Universitas Indonesia majoring marketing management. He is a studentpreneurs, working at his own holding company ARA Syndicate TShirt Brand campuswear Inc. Also as the Chairman of Young Entrepreneur Association Universitas Indonesia (HIPMI-UI). His Achievement is having no doubt. Participants of Asia-Pasific Forum on Climate Change in Thailand, Indonesian Delegates of APEC-Young Entrepreneur Summit 2011, Malaysia. Awardee of Scholarship from PPSDMS Nurul Fikri, Finalist of National Business Plan Competition, 3rd winner of logo competition by Ministry of Finance Republic Indonesia, and many more. Love Basketball and table tennis, also great in singing and playing all the music instrument.

Dini Khoirinnisa Arifin (Dini). Born in Jakarta, September 21th

1990, student of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Indonesia. She is a student who is very close to the world of student organizations, research activities, social, and entrepreneurship. Recently she served as general treasure of Eka Prasetya Student Research Affair University of Indonesia, involved in Johar Baru Urban Transformation Project, participant of National Young Leader Summit 2011 held by Global Peace Festival Foundation, Volunteers for Acts of Violence against Women and Children Mapping in Depok, and owner of two companies (Bloom Enterprise and Depok Star Fruit Hut) which he founded with friends. Dini was also an outstanding student. In 2011 he succeeded in becoming a finalist and winner of various prestigious competitions, which of them are The 1st winner of Student Creativity Program for Research in FISIP UI, The 1st Winner Humanitarian Blog Competition Dompet Dhuafa (International Charity Organization), The 2nd Winner of National CSR Lampung Competition, and Finalist of Young Indonesian Researcher held by Indonesian Institute of Sciences.

Rahardhika Arista Utama

is senior at Sociology

Departement, Universitas Indonesia. National Leadership Centre appreciated his leadership skill by his participation in Southeast Asia Summer Project Leadership Action, Philippine 2009. Social and Political Sciences Faculty awarded him as the most outstanding student 2011. He has been playing important roles in many student organizations and community involvements. He is Head of National Advocacy Division for Independent Youth Alliance, active in campus press, and being coordinators in some event committees. He interest in social- environmental issues, which brought him leading 5.000 students in environmental campaign, invited to be a member of Global Climate Change Task Force by University of Washington, Seattle. In social activities, he has been active in Johar Baru Urban Transformation Project, solving slum area housing and young people violence problems. He enjoys his spare time by reading fiction, writing articles and weekly leadership training.

Azhar Fuadi (Azhar).

Born in Jakarta, August 3rd 1990, student of

Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia majoring Environmental Engineering. Very fast-learner, optimistic, confidence, multi-talented, creative and active person seen in his achievements, awardee beasiswa unggulan from the Jakarta Government, and a winner of prestigious competition in the various fields, such as, mathematics, futsal, band, and scouts. He was a Boy-scouts, that shaping his leadership characteristic and pro-active skill. Graduated from Kelas Super Yohannes Surya, that is a special class for qualified high-school students with minimum IQ 150 from all around Jakarta concentrating in physics groups. Recently he is UNESCO Youth Peace Ambassador and the member of Garuda Youth Community as PIC Design in Research and Development Department. He is also the former of supervisory board in Indonesian Environmental Engineering student association (IMTLI).
