Position Overview
The Vice President of Sales & Marketing is a very key business management role within NeuroScience responsible for working closely with the CEO to grow the company in both traditional and nontraditional segments and via both internal and external methods. The Vice President is also responsible for driving revenue and margin growth and protecting the core business by managing the sales team to seek out and acquire new customers and further penetrate existing customers in order to improve overall revenue, profitability, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will support the development of the company strategy, develop and execute the company’s marketing strategy, develop and execute a competitive marketplace proposition, manage the brand, image, and external communications of the company, provide support and direction to Sales via market research, lead generation, sales materials, sales events, and research, and support the identification and screening of potential merger and acquisition targets. As a member of the NeuroScience leadership team, the candidate must be able to work at both the strategic and tactical levels.

NeuroScience, Inc. was established in 1999 and is located along the beautiful St. Croix River in Osceola, Wisconsin. NeuroScience, Inc. is a research and education driven company committed to improving human health through the nervous, endocrine and immune systems. These systems comprise a single Neuro-Endo-Immune (NEI) Supersystem © which is the foundation of medicine. In conjunction with Pharmasan Labs, Inc., (a co-located independent laboratory), NeuroScience, Inc. provides laboratory assessments and clinical tools in the fields of neurology, endocrinology, and immunology. Dr. Gottfried Kellermann, Chairman, CEO, and founder of NeuroScience, Inc., has been offering neurotransmitter assessments since 1999 and has worked with healthcare practitioners to assess more than 500,000 patients. NeuroScience, Inc. offers assessments for neurotransmitters and neuromodulators, hormones, and neuroimmune markers through the laboratory services of Pharmasan Labs, Inc.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Key Relationships
The Vice President of Sales & Marketing reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for the entire Sales and Marketing functions and will work closely and collaboratively with a number of colleagues. The following lists those key positions:

CEO: The CEO determines and communicates the Corporation strategy and company branding and identity. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will report directly to the CEO and must work closely with him to insure alignment with corporate strategy. The CEO will also rely on the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for research on new/existing markets and research on potential merger and acquisition targets. CSO: The CSO is responsible for future products and services development and for process management. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing’s work with market data and research will help define the direction for new product and service development. They will also work with this person to understand capabilities to help shape potential new product and service ideas. President of Pharmasan Labs: The President of Pharmasan Labs provides strategic direction and leadership for the laboratory services provided by the organization and the connection to the products provided by NeuroScience Inc. Sales Team: The Sales Team is responsible for the acquisition of revenue from new and existing customers. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will define positioning of the company’s products, define target segments and provide lead generation and qualification support, and develop marketing and communication materials, vehicles, media, and events. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will provide direct leadership for the Sales Team. Director of HR: The Human Resources Director is responsible for training and development of company personnel as well as compensation and incentive plans. Chief Financial Officer: The CFO and Director of Sales will work collaboratively on sales reports, sales plans, forecasts, budgets, and expenses to effectively manage the sales team’s results and resources. Sales force of between 24-27 sales professionals In house sales and marketing staff of nine, including those that are in “educational marketing”.

Description
The Vice President of Sales & Marketing is a very key business management role within NeuroScience responsible for working closely with the CEO to grow the company in both traditional and nontraditional segments and via both internal and external methods. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing supports the development of the company strategy and is able to create and execute a marketing plan that incorporates the company’s strategy and position in the market. This person will carry out a variety of duties that will require collaboration and strong organizational skills. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will ultimately be responsible for helping the company find new customers and deliver a strong, consistent message that differentiates the company from its competitors. This person will need strong research and analytical skills which will be applied to studying current and future markets and making recommendations on potential customers. Finally, this person will manage the brand image of the company and will determine how that brand is used across various media including emails, web sites, marketing collaterals and promotions. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing manages the staff in the marketing and sales functions. Compensation

Minimum Qualifications

• • • • • Seasoned B-to-B marketing experience in a related sector (minimum of 10 years) ideal; both product and service experience ideal Team/staff leadership responsibilities and P/L management experience and expertise Capable of leveraging big company experience to work effectively within small companies Four-year college degree requested with an M.B.A. preferred. Experience in a lab, medical services or other regulated industry ideal Strong business management and financial acumen PC proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) required
