Time is the most valuable possession of man. Unfortunately, very few people are punctual in our country. They waste the time of others. They waste their own time too. Many students reach the class late. They disturb the teacher and the other students of their class. Many people are in the habit of reaching their office late. The work of the public suffers. Their own work also suffers. In India, people are very careless about punctuality. But in the Western countries, people know the value of being on time. We should be punctual in everything. By doing so, we can do our work properly and can help the society to work smoothly. 2Punctuality is a necessary habit in all public affairs. Nothing can be brought to a conclusion without punctuality. Time is the most valuable possession of man in a civilized society. Punctuality means doing something at the fixed or appointed time. Many people reach their offices late. The public suffers and their own work also suffers. In India, people are very careless about punctuality. In the Western countries, people know the value of punctuality. Once Churchill's secretary reached office late by five minutes. 3Punctuality means arriving or doing things at the appointed time, neither early nor late. Punctuality is the secret of success in life. The renowned and successful men in the world are known to be punctual. They knew the value of time and utilized it in the proper way in their life. Time, like tide, waits for none, nor can it be kept in store for future use. Therefore, in order to live a meaningful life, one must make the best use of time; and the only way to make the best use of it is to be punctual. The habit of punctuality should be acquired step by step. Youth is the time of one's life to acquire this valuable habit. Once this good habit is acquired, it hardly goes away. It becomes a part and parcel of one's nature. A punctual person is cared and respected by all. The habit of punctuality adds much importance to one's personality. By using properly the tame in hand for the day's work, one is able to achieve his goal in life. If a student is conscious about the value of punctuality, he should complete his home work, and prepare his lessons in due time, and then only it will be easy for him to cope with the progress of his class lessons in the school. He must get up early in the morning, take his meals in due time, and attend school punctually. For a businessman, punctuality is the soul of his business. Like a student, he is also required to move and act with the tide of time, by adjusting his programme of work with his lime in hand. He must keep his words, if he promises anything to anyone, quoting some particular time. Otherwise, he loses the faith of his customers; and that discredit amounts to loss of his goodwill in the market. By not being punctual, he loses business. An unpunctual person is not considered

worthy of anything in life. He cannot be trusted with a responsible job. Thus he proves himself to be a failure in life. Punctuality, therefore, plays a very important part in one's life. A person should try to be punctual from his very childhood, and appraise others about the value of time, which is the key to success.

4Punctuality means doing something at the time fixed for it. It is the secret of success in life. Most of the great men in the world are known for their punctuality. They knew the value of time, and seized the opportunity to use it properly. They were aware of the fact that time does not wait for anyone. One should make the best use of time. Punctuality can help one to utilize one's time properly. A punctual person considers every work as important. He keeps his words, and cannot afford to lose his goodwill. By being punctual, he is disciplined, too. He can be trusted with any kind of responsibility. An unpunctual person misses many things in life. He is not generally relied on by people for performing responsible job. For having an unpunctual habit, he is likely to miss his train or flight, or a business appointment or deal that could fetch him benefit. We should form a sense of punctuality, and a punctual habit from our childhood, for our own benefit in future life.

5Punctuality is a necessary habit that must be cultivated by every person. Without it nothing could ever be brought to a conclusion, everything would be in a state of chaos. It is the mark of a civilized society. It has been rightly called 'the soul of business'. In ordinary living there can be some tolerance of unpunctuality. But it is hard for energetic, quick-minded people to waste time, so they are often tempted to finish a job before setting out to keep an appointment. If no accidents occur on the way, like punctured tyres, diversion of traffic etc. they will be on time. To be on time is a great quality which is unfortunately possessed by a very few. In our daily life, we have to attend to various types of business. This brings us in contact with other people. If we are late, this may cause annoyance and worry to them. Punctuality is the key to get success in life. Without it our life may be a great failure. Hence, we must be punctual to taste the wonderful achievements of life. It is said that time is money time once gone never returns. Hence, make the best effort of time at your disposal to be punctual. Sometimes people lose golden opportunity in life due to being late by a few minutes. If you are catching a train, it is always better to be comfortably early than even a fraction of a minute too late early means a little before the real time. yje live in a big city, we have to consider the route problem to reach the destination. It is not easy thing to be punctual. It requires a man all the energy to regulate his life, if he wants to be punctual in every business. Unpunctuality invites trouble and worry. It is said, "A stitch in time saves nine." A man who is punctual and keeps his appointment is sure to be held in high esteem by others. Everyone banks on him because he keeps his words. Hence there is no alternative of this quality and it must be nourished by every human being right from the very beginning. Once George Washiongton told his secretary, "Sir, either you must get a new watch or I must get a new secretary" The example clearly shows the value of punctuality. Punctuality is necessary in a civilised and cultured world because it is the base of its all round development.

7.Being on time, promptness, timeliness, not being late,Under some circumstances, absence or tardiness on your part may be excused, but only if you give proper notice of such a problem before the start of your shift. The Company needs advance notice of attendance problems so that other arrangements can be made to cover your absence, if necessary. "Proper notice" means that you call the Company at a designated number for such calls prior to the start of your shift and personally notify your supervisor or another member of management about the problem, unless a verifiable emergency makes it impossible for you to do so. It is not sufficient to call in and leave a message with a coworker or someone else who is not in a supervisory position. Office staff have been instructed to route all such calls to supervisory personnel. All supervisors and managers have been advised to make themselves available to take calls such as these, so there should be no reason to worry that you will not be able to reach an appropriate person to advise of your attendance problem. Similarly, the Company's telephone system has been set up to allow your calls to go through promptly and to not route you to an answering machine. If you fail to give proper notice of attendance problems in advance as explained in this policy, you may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and possibly including discharge. Not being on time can greatly effect your job security, your chances of getting a raise, or your chances of getting a promotiom. Most companies are very similisr in their policies regarding being on time to work and why. its bad for you beside you'll be seen as irresponsible and may lose your job its bad for the company because every minute your late is another minute they're losing work from you, so its a loss of productivity which eventually translates into a loss of $$$ To not get fired so I can get the money to one day rise from my surroundings and better my environment with lavish things... 8. The Importance of being on time

The importance of being on time goes back to the teachings of being a soldier and the everyday knowledge of the tasks and standards that were taught to us during basic training and advanced infantry training. There are tasks: a piece of work to be done and any difficult under taking that is given from your superior as a direct command in which is something not to be taking lightly, such as 4-25 field artillery target acquisition radar. The targeting meeting is a critical event in a units battle rhythm, the timing of which serves to nest the units battle rhythm into the higher headquarters targeting process. It should be the minimum time length required to present targeting information, situation updates, provide recommendations and obtain decisions. The purpose of targeting meetings is the same regardless of the

9. importance Of Punctuality
The Importance of Punctuality : Lateness is a sign of poor time management skills When you are late for appointments, meetings or work, you show a lack of respect for other peoples time as well as your own. Punctuality is a problem for many people. How can we ensure that we keep appointments by arriving on time? Here are some suggestions: 1. Make up your mind that you will be punctual from now on. In many cases lateness is caused by a lack of commitment to arrive on time. Have the right mindset. 2. Record the commitment in your planner and also record the time you must leave the house or office in order to arrive on time. Plan to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early. 3. If you have a fair distance to travel, always allow more time than you think it will take. 4. Dont be trapped by the one last thing syndrome. If youre ready to leave and it's still early, leave anyway. Utilize the time at the other end rather than trying to finish one more task before you leave. 5. If you are not a morning person, but have early morning commitments, set the alarm a little earlier. Some of us may need to go to bed a little earlier to make this work.
