National Seminar on

this worship is restricted to religious virtues only otherwise they are subjected to conscious and unconscious neglect. They get a lower allocation of food within the family, time and money spent on their health and education. Boys are seen as old-age insurance and thus fedwell and protected from illnesses. The root of the problem of discriminatory treatment being met out to girls lies in the status of women in society and their expected roles. Males are seen as providers and support for parents in old age. The roles of girls are circumscribed around Marriage and Motherhood, with little chance of their individual identity. Girl hood is just a period when she is trained for the roles what she is expected to play. With advancement in Science & Technology, wheel of social conditions is turned enormously giving a thought that this is a golden era for women & girls but when we move around find that the era has imposed double burden on women as working woman along with duties & responsibilities of a home maker. Even in the 21st Century the picture of the girls or women is not different, even she is playing multiple roles ranging from child- rearing, bearing, domestic work and also bread earner for maintenance of the family. Therefore present seminar intends to bring experts, academicians, researchers, professionals and student's together from different parts of the country and facilitate them to share their valuable knowledge and ideas on discrimination & deprivation amongst female population. Attention will be focused on specifically related to India. This seminar will give a platform to contribute ideas in Indian context.
