INTRODUCTION This course is designed for the language majored students of Business - oriented English Program of the National Economics University. It is the second required Language skill course in Semester 2 of language majored students of their first year at National Economics University. It is mainly designed for students have finished their listening skill 1 in the first semester and has been equipped with basic practical skills to improve their listening skills step by step. This is the basis for students to further practice and to build up their knowledge, practice skills and tactics for intensive professional subjects in the next years. It is a 30-class-hour course of Listening Skill, in which there are two 45-minute periods of Listening Skill every week. II. GOALS The course aims at providing students with essential listening strategies in listening to a variety of themes/topics for their successful results of studying English in the first year at university, which will be a basis for their further study as follows:          Healthy eating Celebrity Journalism Past experiences and stories Culture Services Companies Problems at work Meetings 4
