daily basis; this is optional for teachers this year, but many are already taking advantage of this great tool. Parent Portal also provides a rich set of resources for students and parents, including homework help sites and online research and enrichment tools. You will need a username and password to log in to Parent Portal. These were sent home with students before the winter break. If you no longer have your username and password or are new to Baltimore City Public Schools, please contact the school office for your information. City Schools’ Parent Portal is an online tool that helps you learn—and stay current with—what your child is doing in school and how you can help. Through Parent Portal, you can view report cards and progress reports, attendance records, any discipline actions and information about what your child is learning this year at school. Every teacher has the ability to post homework and grades so that you can follow your child’s schoolwork on a When you log in to Parent Portal for the first time, you will see an online tutorial on how to use it. If you have questions about how to get started or how to use your Parent Portal account, please contact the VAEL representative through the main office. We know that students thrive when parents and schools work together. Parent Portal is a valuable tool to help you do what you do best—encourage and support your student’s success.

Rosemont Parent Room
Room 18 located on the bottom floor of the school is ground central for parents. It is also the office of Mr. AshbyBey the Parent Liaison. In room 18 you will find a computer with the full MS Office Suite and internet access available to parents during school hours and as long as the building is open after school. To help parents become more acquainted with the room it will also be the location of all future PTO/Parent Involvement meetings. You can even find information on community resources; ever wonder who our district councilman is? Having trouble with your BGE bill or need eviction prevention information? Wondering where to go to have a criminal record expunged? There is information for all that and more in the Parent Room. Thanks to donations from community churches there are also gently used dress clothes for men and women as well as a few coats for young boys. Stop by to see what the Parent Room has to offer you or offer suggestions on what you would like to see in the Parent Room.

Now imagine if your family helped fundraise that $1,000 and won a trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida*! This year, every supporter who pledges to “Just Ask” their employer “What do we do with our used ink and laser cartridges?” will be entered to win a Walt Disney World Resort vacation for four in Orlando, Florida*. We’ll also be entered to win $500 toward our FundingFactory fundraising goals. Visit today to pledge that you’ll Just Ask! With Business Supporters, we could be earning 3x more per year than we could on our own! A Business Supporter is any company committed to recycling used ink and toner cartridges or personal electronics to help the Rosemont PTO meet our fundraising goals. Becoming a Business Supporter is free. Materials are free and shipping is prepaid. Business Supporters simply collect and pack their recyclables, then leave them for UPS. They can even drop off their recyclable to our drop-off site at Rosemont in Room 18. We earn the value of all Business Supporters’ recyclables!
