[UK] 2012 LLM Scholarships for International Students at University of Birmingham

An LLM degree is a Taught Masters in Law. The programme takes one year (full-time) or two years (part-time) and involves the study of four specialist modules and a dissertation. Applicants must have a good undergraduate degree in Law.

The University offers a number of country-specific scholarships to postgraduate students commencing a one-year taught Masters degree.

For 2012-2013 Birmingham Law School will be offering a range of scholarships to applicants for its taught LLM programmes.

up to 5,000 for international students (Non EU) up to 2,000 for UK/EU students.

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Applicants must already have applied for admission to the LLM degree.

Applicants are required to send a letter of motivation to Mrs Sharon Jones (Law-LLM@bham.ac.uk) addressing the twin requirements of academic merit and financial need.

Application Deadline The closing date for the receipt of Scholarship applications is Friday, June 22, 2012.

Successful applicants will be notified in July 2012. Scholarships are not payable directly to successful applicants but are set off against the University fee invoice for 2012-2013 and will be transferred once successful applicants have paid the balance owed by them to the University.

[UK] National Scholarship Program at University of Westminster

If you are a new student starting your studies in 2012, you may be eligible for additional financial support in the form of a University of Westminster National Scholarship. The scholarship is worth 6,000 and has been established to provide extra help for students from low-income backgrounds. It is jointly funded by the Government and the University. We will be awarding scholarships to 222 new students in 2012. The allocation of scholarships is not automatic students who believe they meet the eligibility criteria will need to submit a completed application form. We will send details of the application process, including application forms and submission deadlines, to all students who receive an offer of a place on a course. Information about the application procedure will also be available on this webpage throughout the year.

Eligibility You have been allocated the maximum Living Cost Grant (also called Maintenance Grant or Special Support Grant ) from Student Finance England. You have firmly accepted a place at the University of Westminster as your first choice through UCAS Your permanent registered home address is in England, or if you

are a national from another EU state, you are applying for the fee-only element of the NSP award (5000 maximum)

[South Africa] Scholarship in Veterinary Science at University of Pretoria

UP is the leading research university in South Africa and one of the largest in the country. The University has seven campuses as well as a number of other sites of operation, such as the Pretoria Academic Hospital. Central administration is located at the Hatfield Campus.

The University of Pretoria offers more than 1 800 academic programmes in two of the official languages, namely Afrikaans and English. (Some programmes and modules are offered only in English.)

Applications are open for the EK BROWN 2012 Bursary.Qualifying students from KwaZulu Natal for the EK Brown Bursary 2012 are welcome to apply.

Eligibility: South African Citizen From KwaZulu Natal Veterinary Science BVSc IV, V & VI as well as BSc III (Veterinary Biology) Previous EK Brown holders may apply again
