EWET delivered YES to 286 sites (schools). The distribution of schools covered as a percentage per province, as compared to the statistics of the Department of Education is: Eastern Cape 8% compared to 23%; Free State 46% compared to 7%; Gauteng 2% compared to 8%; KwaZulu-Natal 8% compared to 22%; Limpopo 3% compared to 16%; Mpumalanga 11% compared to 7%; North West 4% compared to 8%; Northern Cape 15% compared to 2%; and Western Cape 2% compared to 30%. For equitable distribution EWET will prioritise the provinces (based on these statistics) as follows: Western Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal, Limpopo, Gauteng, North – West for new establishment, while Free State, Northern Cape and Mpumalanga are “well” serviced.
