Words can not express what a wonderful evening was had by all who attended the Evening with the Stars Banquet Monday night. A special thanks goes out to Dolores Croom & Harolyn Walker - they dedicated many hours in preparation for this event. Their organizational skills are truly amazing. Thank you to Cheryl Creek & the Culinary students for the wonderful meal. Thanks to those who helped in organizing, setting up &/or cleaning up - Elinor MountSimmons, Barbara Lee, Louise Chipman, Carla Bankston, the SWAT members, Lois Sanders, Pastor David Walker, Trinity Hardy, Beyla Walker, Aaliyah West, & the Centennial Bank employees. Thanks to Sally Wheeler for producing the video of our stars it was a blast from the past! **VALENTINES DAY TSIC (Take Stock in Children) SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER:


Student members of TSIC will be taking orders for long stem roses for Valentines Day. A single stem rose is $2.00, a dozen are $20. Order forms have been put in the teachers boxes. Flowers must be paid for when orders are placed. Javeion Winfield, Tiffani Schmidt, & Jessica Dempsey will go around to classrooms to pick up the orders. DEADLINE TO ORDER IS TODAY, FEB. 9. Your orders may be picked up on Valentines Day, Feb. 14, on the stage in the cafeteria during lunch time.

**H/S MATH TUTORING: Math tutoring now available for H/S students on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:153:00pm, in room 1220.

**Take Stock in Children Mentoring & Scholarship Program: Admission applications are now
available from Mr. Robinson or Ms. Cathy Carroll in the FCS Guidance office. Completed applications are to placed in Dr. Catlins mailbox in the FCS front office. The deadline for submission will be March 5, 2012.

**MISS SEAHAWK PAGEANT:

Late registration with additional fee of $15 (total of $75 due with application) may be accepted up until Fri, Feb. 17th. There will be five age/grade divisions. The pageant will be held Feb. 25th in the FCS Cafetorium. To be eligible, young ladies must be enrolled in Franklin County School, grades Pre-K through 11. Pick up application forms from Ms. Buffkin in the front office or contact Ms. Lynn Clark or Ms. Howze for more information.

**FREE - MOVIE NIGHT @ FRANKLIN COUNTY SCHOOL:


Mark your calendars . . . American Teacher, a film by Oscar winner Vanessa Roth, will be shown in the Franklin County School cafeteria on Wed, Feb. 15, 6:00-8:00pm! Popcorn & hotdogs will be served, so be sure to RSVP by calling 653-2132 to reserve your free tickets. Bring your friends, relatives, and neighbors to this special screening. **Dixie Youth League T-Ball, Baseball, & Softball: Signup is starting for 2012 season. Child must be at
least 5 years old before May 1. Participation fee: $50 for 1st child & $45 for each child after that. Signup dates: Thurs, Feb. 9 from 6-7:00pm Saturday, Feb. 11 from 11am-1pm. Apalach residents signup @ DW Wilson Sports complex. Eastpoint residents signup @ Vroom Sports Complex. Carrabelle residents signup @ Will Kendrick Sports Complex.

GED CLASSES
GED Classes have started back at Franklin County School.
Classes will be on Mondays & Tuesdays from 4:00-8:00pm. Register with Ms. Linda Bradley during class hours in the 1100 Building, Room 1111. The next GED Test will be given Feb. 27 & 28, 2012 at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm. To register for the test contact Maxine Creamer @ 670-4481. The Franklin County Adult Education Courses do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, National origin, age, handicap, or marital status.
