Learn effective and cost-efficient ways to perform legal research online

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------There’s a wealth of information online that can help your case or transaction — if you can find it in an efficient manner both in terms of time and money. The Internet is changing the way legal professionals need to research and run their practices to competently represent their clients. The Cybersleuth’s Guide to the Internet will discuss successful strategies for conducting investigative research online, including: • Uncover best practices for research, and learn to master Google • Find out if failing to “Google” as part of the due diligence process could keep you from winning a case or successfully completing a transaction, or even lead to a malpractice claim. • Discover how attorneys are using free public record sites and other sites that contain “publicly available” information, including social networking sites (Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Google Plus, and LinkedIn) for discovery, trial prep, background checks, and locating missing persons Don’t be left behind in exploiting this gold mine of information that will assist you in meeting your investigative research obligations. Come join Carole Levitt and Mark Rosch, internationally recognized Internet trainers and authors, who will show you how to be a cybersleuth and unearth information FREE (or at low cost!) on the Internet. Each attendee will receive a copy of their 500-page book, The Cybersleuth’s Guide to the Internet, 11th edition (a $64.95 value). Register today!

• Is there a duty to Google? • Develop super search strategies • What’s new in Google search results? • Key into Google’s “advanced search” menu to create sophisticated searches • Googling for background/ investigative information about people and companies • Find current news and much older information • Keep on top of your research using free alerts • Locate information from the “invisible” Web • More Google secrets and shortcuts revealed
