It does so without modifying the execut able files on disk, so there are no permanent side effects. [ Suggestions for Modders ] Scripts written with these new commands must be created via the CreationKit afte r it is launched via skse_loader. Open a command prompt window, navigate to your Skyrim directory, and type "skse_loader -editor". Alternately you can create a shortcut to skse_loader.exe, open the properties window and add "-editor" to the Target field. The normal editor can open plugins with these extended scripts, b ut it cannot recompile them and will give errors if you try. If your mod requires SKSE, please provide a link to the main SKSE website <http: //> instead of packaging it with your mod install. Future ve rsions of SKSE will be backwards compatibile, so including a potentially old ver sion can cause confusion and/or break other mods which require newer versions. When your mod loads, use the command GetSKSERelease to make sure a compatible ve rsion of SKSE is installed. This command will return an integer that will be inc remented for every release of SKSE, making version checking simple.
