Bangladesh Television - Bangladesh's only terrestrial TV channel. The satellite version is BTV World.

Nowadays there are 11 TV channels are run by private entrepreneurs. All of these channels are air through satellite link. TV channels are: ATN Bangla, Channel I, Ekushey Television (ETV), NTV, RTV, Boishakhi Television, Channel 1, Islamic Television, Diganta Television, Desh TV, My TV, ATN News. Radio Foorti FM 88.0, Radio Aamar FM 88.4, Bangladesh Betar FM 88.8,103.2,94.5,97.6, ABC Radio FM 89.2, Radio Today FM 89.6 are most popular FM radio in Bangladesh. There are several Internet Radio Stations launched in Bangladesh in the last 2 years. And they are broadcasting popular Bangla Songs, Latest News etc. Radio Jockeys are also doing live programs.

Bangladesh Television has a national channel which is broadcast from Dhaka. This transmission is relayed to the whole country via local relay stations in major cities of the country. There is also a regional station located in Chittagong which broadcasts local programmes in the evening. In 2004, BTV started worldwide broadcasts through its satellite based branch, BTV World.[1]

NTV
NTV is a Bengali language satellite television channel based in Bangladesh. It started operation in 2003. It is one of the most popular Bengali TV channels in the country. In the anniversary of the channel, the founder expressed interest in creating NTV2 to satisfy the watchers further, however he is now in jail and all of his properties have been seized by the government. The channel broadcasts coverage of news, soap operas, educational, religious and politics related programs.[1]

RTV
RTV (Legally Permitted by Govt.) started operation on 26 December 2005.[2] It mainly broadcasts programs in Bangla.[2]
