LONDON, 11 January, 2010. Canon Europe, world leader in digital imaging technology, has today announced the launch of its new expanded range of compact black-and-white A3 multifunctional printers (MFPs) - the imageRUNNER 2500 and imageRUNNER 2300 series. Both series are designed to provide productive and cost-effective black-and-white output for small-to-medium sized workgroups and organisations. The imageRUNNER 2500 series replaces the current iR 2018/30 series. The expanded range of ten compact devices provides cost-effective print, copy, scan and send capabilities for busy small and medium-sized workgroups. The new series increase workplace productivity with improved performance and responsiveness with fast speeds of up to 45 pages-perminute (ppm), high paper capacity, rapid recovery from sleep mode and with first copies available in as little as 3.9 seconds. Users are able to quickly and efficiently scan in colour and send to a variety of destinations, including the network and FTP folders as well as email addresses with Canon’s i-Send function. The devices also create a high-quality, compressed PDF file for quick and easy sharing via email. The new series also improves efficiency and usability with a large, intuitive touch-screen display as well as the ability to scan directly to USB memory key. Highly productive automatic double-sided printing and optional inner staple finishing saves further time and hassle.
