At whAt point did you become interested in politics? whAt mAde you decide to run? I became interested in politics when I moved to Canada at age 12. It was refreshing to become involved with Canadian politics instead of American and it helped establish my special relationships with my friends and family. By senor year of high school, I was organizing assemblies to increase youth voter turnout. I am running for Director at Large and the Senate because I want to help make UVics students experiences within post secondary education affordable and fun. I also want to work with the University to continue promoting sustainability and equality for all students. would you consider pursuing politics beyond the scope of A university setting? Because my bachelors degree is International Business, I believe I will be constantly working in politically charged atmospheres. I am not the type to let others make decisions without my influence, so I am sure I will be involved in politics wherever my career takes me. which federAl politicAl pArty do your support/ feel most closely reflects your politics? I am a fan of the NDP. I believe the government should be helping us all out through healthcare, education, and etc in a more intense fashion. way for Smokers and Non-Smokers to share areas inside Ring Road without serious issues for both parties. The policy needs to change because neither side respects the rules anyway.

hAve you ever been to A boArd meeting? Nope! But I cant wait to be one of those fancy people.

whAt is victoriAs first trAnsit priority? UVICs transit system has to drastically change. My first priority would be to create bus lanes to and from UVic. Transit would be faster and way more reliable; allowing students to ditch their cars. At the boArd level, whAt chAnges cAn be mAde to increAse the uvss visibility on cAmpus, such As voter turnout, pArticipAtion, etc? We need to start putting on kick ass events and marketing them heavily. whAt do you plAn on doing After grAduAtion And whAt kind of skills do you hope to Acquire on the uvss boArd? My career dreams include promoting sustainability through a major company at the international level. My international business bachelors degree in combination with the skills I hope to require from working on the UVSS board and the Senate will give me the insider knowledge on how to promote sustainability. I honestly have an unhealthy addiction to that band; which includes a Beatles blanket, mug, posters, several books, and most of their albums and movies. whAt is the best coffee on cAmpus?
