Bring a favorite dish to share with the whole Troop. Buckets of chicken or a pizza (available on your way down at Clinton) are also big hits with the Scouts. Dont forget your table service, drinks (non-alcoholic), lawn chairs and card tables. We will set out the spread and begin the feast at Noon. Keep in mind that the evening meal on Sunday is not served by the camp so the campers dine on leftovers that night(please bring plenty.) We are also asking for some of the ice chests to remain at camp after Visitors Day so that we can keep the perishables safe. Please let us know on Sunday if we can keep your ice chests until we return on June 12th. Make sure you plan on attending this special day. The Scouts always have stories to tell, items to show off and things to talk about. NOTE- NO PETS ALLOWED AT CAMP AT ANY TIME. Special Diets: If there are any special dietary requirements/restrictions that your son has please let Jack Mathewson know in writing before camp. The camp kitchen will try to accommodate. Spirit Day: Usually on the last full day of camp, we arrive at breakfast in our sprit attire. This year we will be doing Duct Tape Day. Bring your duct tape creations and any other related accessories you like. Leaving Camp Early: We strongly recommend that you do not take your son out of camp, even for one day, except for family and/r medical emergencies. Missing even one day can be a detriment to this experience. If you must take your son out of camp please go to the camp office and let them know that you are here to pick up your Scout. They will notify Jack Mathewson and he will bring your son up to the office where you will be required to sign him out of camp. Please note that only the parent or legal guardian will be able to take your son out of camp unless that other person has a note written and signed by you stating who they are (specific names), what time and day they are to pick up your son and that they have your permission to take your son out of camp. This means that grandparents will need a signed note from you (no exceptions). These rules are set by the Boy Scouts of America Heart of America Council and must be strictly followed for the safety of all Scouts. Please look over the attachments. You will find all kinds of useful information. If you have questions that are not answered in the enclosed information please dont hesitate to call me at 228-5089.
