The EWSD SULIM control/access ports are hereafter referred to as Switch Access Ports. Test Bus 2. Each RMU 745 installed for EWSD line testing requires a 4x16 test bus matrix (MAX 2000B). Check that the prerequisites in Chapter 2 have been met. Each of the matrices sixteen 4-wire connections run to an individual DLU located in the EWSD switch. Set up each RMU 745 in the switch as described in Chapter 4. The matrix allows up to sixteen distinct 4-wire connections to be mapped to the RMU backplanes single 4-wire output. TSC 720 Software Configuration The following configuration tasks.2 4TEL Equipment Hardware The following 4TEL equipment must be installed before checking the System 7000 EWSD/SULIM interface: TSC 720.

1 Introduction This chapter provides a short procedure to verify the proper operation of the 4TEL System’s switch access function. proper signaling between the SAM and SULIM is indicated by DTMF tones. • • If the SULIM port answers. In order to expand system capabilities. a MAX 2000B matrix can be retrofitted to the RMU 745 unit. Follow the instructions in Chapters 2 through 5.
