Keyboard Shortcuts

in DVD Studio Pro 4

Using keyboard shortcuts can make working with DVD Studio Pro even easier. The
following tables group the keyboard shortcuts by function.

Note: Some keyboard shortcuts are always active, whether or not you are working in
the group that they are listed in. Other keyboard shortcuts are only active under
special circumstances.

General Interface and Application Controls


Key command Function
Opens the first 15 interface configurations. (Note that F9, F10, and
F1 F15
F11 may be used by Mac OS X for the Exposé feature, and F14 and
F15 may be used to control the monitor’s brightness.)

Drag scroller Scrolls through the list.
Scrolls slowly through the list (useful for large lists).

Assets Tab

Double-click empty area, or Imports an asset.

Double-click asset name, or Previews the selected asset.

Selects all assets and folders.

Deselects all assets and folders.

Removes the selected asset.

Creates a new folder.

Shows the encoder settings for the selected QuickTime movie.

Does the opposite of the “Find matching audio when dragging”

Connections Tab
Key command Function
Scrolls through items in the list not currently selected.

Viewer Tab
The Viewer tab keyboard shortcuts apply to those tabs in which an asset can play.
These include the Assets, Track, Story, and Slideshow tabs.

Key command Function


Plays the video asset or, if playing, stops or pauses playback
space (depending on the “Space bar toggles between play/pause” setting
in DVD Studio Pro Preferences).
If you hold down the Space bar, playing automatically stops or
