The word Gita is basically a generic name. This is just an excuse to make people aware of such a knowledge and scripture. one group lived for fulfill- ing their selfish wishes at ‘at cost’.Traditions and Festivals thousand years ago on the 11th day (Ekadashi) of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) of the month of Margaseersha (December-January) when Lord Krishna gave this divine message to Arjuna. or at least works sincerely to see its respect-worthiness. and is equally relevant today in this modern world. Ram-Gita. All Gita’s are songs of enlightened and blissful mas. so as to help them live a more dynamic. but a person with challenges. The name ‘Srimad Bhagavad Gita’ means Gita revealed by Bhagwan. So the message of Gita is that dont escape responsibilities and challenges. and Bhagwad means ‘Of Bhagwan’. which is outside Vedas. the day Gita was revealed. Shiv-Gita. Bhagwad Gita is the most respectful of all. Bhagwad Gita is that teaching which is given to those who are in the midst of conflict. One who celebrates Gita Jayanti obviously shares this respect. The word Gita is used for any dialogue. thus there are many Gita’s. So Gita does not expect you to be a recluse. many believe that it is the Kathopanishad which inspires the author the most. Guru-Gita. responsibilities and above all aspirations.
