COURSE DESCRIPTION

Aim of the course is to provide participants with a deeper understanding of organizational


design and management theory. Theories help us understand the dynamics behind business
and management issues we face everyday. In this course, participants will be encouraged to
look deeper into business life and deconstruct and positively criticise the application of
theories in real life situations.

ASSESSMENT

This course will use a combination of readings, case studies, lectures, and there is going to
be one final examination or an individual project. At least three position papers are required.
Your active participation in the discussion in class is considered very important in this course.
By making 25% of your grade dependent on your participation in class we hope to encourage
you to feel responsible in making this course work. Class attendance is required.
