The Adverb is a word or a phrase that describes or gives information about the verb.

Whats the Adverb of manner?

-An Adverb of Manner describes a verb and tells how somebody or something does/did something. -Many adverbs of manners are related to and formed from adjectives.

The Past Continuous

When do we use the Past Continuous?

We use the Past Continuous when we talk about actions that started before a certain time in the past and that were still happening at that time. Its on going action in the past. Example: What were Omar and Ali doing at half past ten? -They were playing tennis. They were playing means that they were in the middle of playing tennis. They had started playing, but they hadnt finished.
