SKILL LEVEL: Easy SIZE 11" x 10" MATERIALS LION BRAND Homespun 1 skein #312 Edwardian (A) or color of your choice LION BRAND Chenille Thick & Quick 1 skein #110 Marine (B) 1 skein #189 Wine (C) or colors of your choice LION BRAND size H-8 (5 mm) crochet hook OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE One 1 1/8 (29 mm) button GAUGE 3 sts + first 2 rnds = 1 (2.5 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. NOTES Always join last st of rnd to first with a slip st. Work with 2 strands (as specified) held tog throughout. Fasten off at end of each stripe pattern. With next color combination, draw up a loop in sc on opposite side; ch 1. SHOULDER BAG With 2 strands of A held tog, ch 28. Rnd 1 Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 25 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Working in opposite side of foundation ch, sc in next 25 ch, 2 sc in same ch as beg 56 sc. Join. Rnd 2 Ch 1, sc in each sc around, working 3 sc in center sc at each side 60 sc. Join and fasten off. Rnd 3 With one strand each of A and C held tog, sc in each sc around. Join. Rnd 4 Ch 1, sc in first sc, *ch 1, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc; repeat from * around, ending ch 1, skip last sc. Join to beg sc. Rnd 5 Ch 1, sc in each sc and each ch-1 space around. Join. Rnd 6 Repeat Rnd 4. Rnd 7 With 2 strands of A held tog, repeat Rnd 5. Rnd 8 Sc in each sc around. Join and fasten off. Rnds 9-15 With 1 strand each of A and B held tog, repeat Rnds 4 and 5 three times, then repeat Rnd 4 once more. Fasten off. Rnd 16 With 2 strands of A held tog, repeat Rnd 5. Rnd 17 Repeat Rnd 4. Fasten off. Rnds 18-21 With 1 strand each of A and C held tog, repeat Rnds 5 and 6 twice. Fasten off.
