Ukrainian Defense Consulting Ltd was incorporated in 2006 in response to the need to provide Western customers with seamless access to former Warsaw Pact defense products and manufacturers, and to provide value added services to those clients more familiar with procurement methods and procedures practiced in NaTO countries. UDC acts as a single point liaison with all major Ukrainian licensed exporters while maintaining a comprehensive network of relationships with individual manufacturing, overhaul and research establishments throughout Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Since inception I have been fortunate to be able to work with a team of exceptional talent, which has enabled the company to grow from a zero base to $30m annual turnover in its first four years. I firmly believe that this level of activity can be sustained and enhanced in the future by focusing on our core strengths and further developing the important client relationships which have helped the company to attain its current position. Ukraine has a wealth of design, manufacturing and overhaul expertise which is currently undergoing reassessment and upgrade. I see UDCs function as not only providing a connection to existing facilities but to play a proactive role in ensuring that those facilities are developed and upgraded to meet the needs of our clients in the twenty-first century. To date, the company has managed the supply of the following major weapons systems: D-30 howitzer systems, spares and peripheral equipment including ballistic calculators and NaTO sight conversions T-72B main Battle Tanks plus spares BmP-1 and BmP-1K mi-17, mi-35, an-12, an-24 and an-32 spares and major component overhaul

UNIVERSAL BALLISTIC COMPUTER

The Universal Ballistic Computer was developed by Ukrainian Defense Consulting in response to a user requirement for a portable, rapid and accurate fire direction computer. Originally developed for and in use with the D-30 howitzer, the computer can be configured for any artillery system former Warsaw Pact or NaTO. advantages of the Universal Ballistic Computer include: Hand held unit is highly portable, ruggedized to mil spec, and operates on a Windows based platform Completely removes need for firing tables and complex manual calculations System gives easy to follow on-screen prompts for data results available in seconds, with very little training Output data delivers accurate aiming within 20m of target (field tested on D-30 122mm howitzer) Can be linked to weather data and muzzle velocity chronometer The system is extremely flexible and can be configured for virtually any artillery system including mortars. Input and output language can be changed to meet buyers requirements It operates with both NaTO 6400 mil and Warsaw 6000 mil calibrated sighting devices and will accept map references in either Western UTm cartographic system or Eastern SK42 Provides the optimum solution for artillery units seeking to reduce training time, improve deployment efficiency and accuracy, and save cost

ELECTRONIC GUN SIGHT

The UDC Electronic gun Sight (EgS) is designed to replace the conventional mechanical vertical sight and provide an easy and accurate means of laying an artillery weapon in the vertical plane, as well as providing correction for any lateral displacement in the trunnion axis. Originally designed for use with the D-30 howitzer, the sight can be configured for use on any artillery weapon. The unit provides the following advantages: Reduces time required to lay an artillery piece by 50% Easy to use and reduces user error Cost effective substitute for hard to replace vertical sights Provides 6400 mil or 6000 mil measurement to meet user needs. Improves readability particularly under low light conditions Provides digital accuracy

Field artillery is imperative to controlling the operational environment. UDCs Universal Ballistic Computer relieves training challenges, significantly reduces user error and eliminates the need for time consuming manual calculations in the field.

UDC is currently creating an electronic solution for the horizontal plane to complement the existing EgS.
