It's 60 degrees here in Chicago, the Cardinals have started playing preseason games in Florida, and the streets of Roseland have begun to come back to life. This past Sunday we even saw a couple flocks of Sandhill Cranes flying over the church (which was awesome!!). I think it's safe to say that spring is almost upon us. With spring comes new life and renewed vitality. It also brings a new fervor for ministry at church. basement (including the addition of a bathroom and extra bedroom). Dave, any volunteers, and I should begin work on the house within the week. On a side note, Kendall Church (one of our team members), had to leave to take care of some financial obligations. He has started a job working at a children's home in Nebraska. Please be in prayer for him as the Lord directs his paths elsewhere. Also, I ask that you pray diligently for our block. One of the guys (nicknamed Black) was killed in a tragic car accident in the beginning of March. We were able to make dinner for his family and speak with them briefly. Ask that God comfort the neighborhood and make His love known through this unfortunate event. I’ll end the letter with a brief, but upbeat, blurb about Operation Super Awesome Mission Year Fundraiser, O-SAMY-F. On Feb. 25th we held a dinner and talent show at the church to help raise support for our team. It was awesome to see church and the team members alike use their gifts to glorify God. At the end of the night we raised a total of $650!! Praise the Lord for his ability to provide for his children!
