A Wider Circle brought beds, dressers, and so much more. Everything we have is because of them. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you… from the bottom of my heart, from me and my family.”

A Wider Circle Fellowship Positions
A Wider Circle is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families lift themselves out of poverty. Each day A Wider Circle provides basic need items to families transitioning out of shelters or simply living without life’s necessities. We also go into low-income schools and shelters to lead educational workshops on topics ranging from healthy self-esteem and stress management to resume writing and financial planning. A Wider Circle is currently seeking the following five fellows for a yearlong position with a modest stipend, plus benefits. Fellows will work five days/week. Community Outreach Fellow: We are seeking (2) Community Outreach Fellows to build and help manage the organization’s volunteer base. Fellows will spend three days of each week out in the community, collecting and distributing basic need items, as well as speaking to groups about the work of A Wider Circle. Two days will be spent on-site at our Center for Community Service, assisting volunteer groups and planning ways to increase connections in the community. IT Fellow: The A Wider Circle IT fellow will help maintain the A Wider Circle website, learn about and help manage a network, and help oversee and trouble-shoot a searchable database. The fellow will also oversee the technical aspects of A Wider Circle’s social networking (i.e., Twitter, Facebook). Management Fellow: A Wider Circle’s management fellow will assist in the recruitment, management, and evaluation of our staff, interns, and volunteers. S/he will also assist in the strategic planning of the organization and help with general administrative and day-to-day managerial duties. Education Fellow: The education fellow at A Wider Circle will help develop and implement the curriculum for our wellness and life skills workshops at low-income schools, shelters, and public housing facilities. S/he will also develop materials for our on-site Wellness Resource Center
