Our Award Winning Booth By Code4 Media Group!
We are proud to announce that Ocean Alexander & Tiara Yachts won booth of the year at the Seattle Boat Show 2012. We could not have done this without Code4 Media Group. The Code4 team built our booth from top to bottom in less than two days, while perfectly showcasing out brand new 2012 31 Coronet. They gave our booth a taste of tropical paradise, with tropical plants, bar seating, and warm lighting. They created a docklike walk way which boarded you onto the Coronet, making it feel like you were about to cruise the tropics. They installed high end electronics, including 5 at screen TVs showcasing our 120MY, 85MY, 78MY, Tiara collection and boat data base. The Ocean Alexander logo was projected with show lights, and we had a sound system providing background music from under the dock. Thank you everyone at Code4 for making this possible! We LOVED our booth!

2012 Seattle Boat Show Recap

3100 coronet omg so exciting!

We couldnt have asked for a better Seattle Boat Show this year. To kick off as the new West Coast Tiara dealership, our factory ordered 2012 31 Coronet arrived just in time and had much positive feedback. With its beautiful dark blue hull, hard top, and detailed craftsmanship, this Tiara truly helped us put our best foot forward. Our Newport Beach team joined us as well as Rick Venner, Business Development Manager for Tiara Yachts, for the opening the weekend of the show. This year we decided to host 3 shows during the Seattle Boat Show. We had our cabana styled booth featuring the 31 Coronet at CenturyLink Stadium, our featured 54 Veloce and 61 Ocean Alexander at the Boats Aoat Show on South Lake Union, as well as our open house at our Ocean Alexander ofce on South Lake Union, spotlighting our 22 brokerage boats. Towards the last weekend of the show, we were blessed with a couple days of sunshine, a welcome site in January. Both of the South Lake Union shows were a success, with plenty families and avid boaters here for the sunshine and boats. Over at our Ocean Alexander ofce, we had yachts from a modest 22 to up to a generous 90. We would pride ourselves in saying that, yes, we have boats for everyone. We had the opportunity to meet with loyal Tiara owners at the CenturyLink Stadium show. Proud Tiara owners were impressed with the quality of our 2012 31 Coronet. We connected with our fabulous Ocean Alexander customers, shared stories and updates. Overall, everyone had a wonderful time at the Seattle Boat Show 2012. Thank you from Ocean Alexander & Tiara Yachts of Seattle for joining us at the Seattle Boat Show 2012. We hope to see you next year, and cannot wait for you to see what we will have in store for you.

Brokers Open/ 43 Open Debut Recap
by Erin Spielbuehler Our Newport Beach Brokers Open House held on Saturday, March 3rd in Newport Beach was a success! The weather was unbeatable and our showcased yachts really represented our brand proudly. It was a pleasure to mingle with our loyal customers along with potential prospects and those who may join the Ocean Alexander family in the future. The featured yachts this year were our Ocean Alexander 90 Motoryacht, Ocean Alexander 65 Pilothouse, Tiara 4300 Open, and Tiara 4300 Sovran. It was a real treat to have our Tiara 4300 Open in time for this event, as it made its West Coast debut and was very well received. The 2012 4300 Open features a Cummins QSC Engine with Zeus Pods, a real one of a kind. Also showcased was a 69 McKinna Skylounge from McKinna Yachts and 44 Tiara from Chuck Hovey Yachts. The food was fantastic, authentic Mexican tacos hosted by Sandys Food Service, made for the perfect afternoon bite. We look forward to this event again next year and thank all of our customers who were able come out and support us!

Our Miami Boat Show Recap
February 16th to 20th, 2012
By Niel Steenkamp, Yacht Consultant This year Ocean Alexander did not only participate at the Collins Avenue location, but we also staffed the Convention Center, on behalf of Tiara Yachts of Seattle and Tiara Yachts of Newport Beach, where Tiara Yachts had 9 boats on display.

Progress on our much anticipated 120 Ocean Alexander Megayacht

Excitement continues to build, as we approach the launch date of our rst in the Megayacht series, our 120 Ocean Alexander. If you are interested in viewing this boat that will beat all in the 120 class, please call today for an appointment. She will be unveiled during the 2012 Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show. This 120 Megayacht has already sparked much interest. She is designed by Evan Marshall, engineered by Ocean Alexander, and built by Christensen. This combination makes this new 120 Ocean Alexander Megayacht spacious, comfortable, and beautiful with unparalleled functionality. -Ray Prokorym Ocean Alexander VP of Sales

Two of the boats on display were the brand new designed 36 Coronet and the 36 Open. The Open model featured the new ZF Pod-drives with Cummins engines. We are looking forward to getting our hands on that one to take it for a spin. The 43 Open with Cummins Zeus Pod-drives was incredible as far as performance in open water was concerned, but the real impressive feature is the "joy-stick" control which makes maneuvering very easy in close quarters. During the show, three contracts were written by the various dealers and quite a few potential leads will be closing this quarter as well. Ocean Alexander had an incredible showing with a brand new 90 with a four stateroom conguration, (psssttt which sold) 78 with a open Flybridge and a newly congured 65 Pilothouse. All the boats got lots of attention and the sales staff did not have time to relax. The scuttle-butt on the dock is that the show was a lot stronger than last year and of course it helped that the weather co-operated with the typical sunny 75 degrees. We are looking forward to the upcoming April Lido Boat Show in Newport Beach and the Ft Lauderdale Boat Show where the NEW 120 Ocean Alexander will makes its debut.

Tips From Tim Curry

Simple tips on maintaining your boat by our Operations Manager!
Spring is coming up, so now is the time to get to those little items that might need attention.
#1. Batteries: Lead Acids may need to have their fluid levels checked. Use only distilled water. All battery Types should have theirconnections checked, cleaned and protected with a corrosion inhibiting spray. If you have not load tested your batteries lately then do it now. Its better to find that bad one now and not while your relaxing on the hook. Dont forget to check the bow and stern thruster batteries; these are sometimes overlooked as well. #2. Impellers: Another item that is easy to forget about until it dies and youre without AC, or even worse your main engine. Replace your gen set raw water Impeller at the beginning of the season, and not at layup or when the boat will see little use. Check with your main engine manufacturer, some engines use a metal impeller that does not require service, but if it were a rubber impeller, then I would recommend a replacement at the same time as the gen set. Always remember to carry a spare for the gen and the main.

hey call it a dayboat, this new Tiara 3600 Coronet, but theres no doubt it will handle itself just fine after sunset, too. Dinner at the dock or post-sunset drinks on a lightseeing tour are both within the 3600s range. The second in the Coronet line, and the bigger sibling to the 3100, the 3600 which will debut this month at the Miami International Boat Show stretches more than 42 feet including the pulpit and the swim step. It can easily seat a dozen or so people, though only four of them will find sleeping accommodations belowdecks in the forward master stateroom and on the aft cabin settee/two-person sleeper. The galley has a Corian countertop, a sink, a microwave, a single-burner electric cooktop, a refrigerator and storage. In the head, youll find a VacuFlush toilet, a shower with a glass door, storage, a mirror and a sink integrated into the countertop.

Longer and wider than the 3100 Coronet, the 3600 is a great platform for a large group of day cruisers.

Up top, the cockpit stretches from the transom to the helm and consists of an upper and a lower portion. The lower aft portion is bigger than the upper portion and has seating for four to eight people on an aft L-shaped settee (optional) and twin rear-facing mezzanine seats that could accommodate two people each. A walkway between the mezzanine seats leads to the upper portion of the cockpit, where boaters will find seating at a twin helm seat and a port-side companion lounge. A wraparound windshield protects the captain from wind and spray. For entertainment, there is a console aft of the helm seat that contains a sink, a drawer refrigerator and an optional electric grill and a TV. Owners-to-be have the choice of adding a hardtop or a canvas soft top to the forward part of the cockpit. The hardtop comes with a sunroof. Buyers also have their pick when it comes to power and propulsion: two inboard choices and one pod option. The inboard choices are twin Mercury 8.2 DTS gas engines, 375 hp apiece, or twin Cummins QSB diesels, 380 hp each. The Cummins engines are also available coupled with ZF Pod Drive propulsion. Whatever the selection, this dayboat is

going to be fast and easy to handle, with preliminary predictions showing a top speed around 37 or 38 mph, depending on the engine. Anyone who needs a midday cooldown can take advantage of the 45-inch swim step thats more of a platform, and it can be finished in teak. Other areas that can be finished in teak include the steering wheel, the cockpit drink holder and the companion lounges step treads. Belowdecks is already decked out in teak, so owners can decide how much nautical wood they want. Tiara knows that boaters also like hull-color choices, so it offers a variety of them to let owners personalize their day-tripping dandy.

2003 64 Alaskan PH review by Niel Steenkamp
2006 64 Ocean Alexander MY review by Paul Groesbeck (425) 829-3551 This 2006 Ocean Alexander pilothouse was built for the current owner with no expenses spared. This boat features 825hp MTU'S, hydraulic stabilizers and bow and stern thrusters, backup manual transmission controls,2 generators, spare props and water maker just to name a few. This boat has been kept in fresh water since new and maintained impeccably. Come see her today at our South lake union location. (206) 850-2801 EAGLE SPIRIT is the perfect Alaskan for Pacic Northwest cruising. Commissioned by a discriminating owner, the salon was enlarge by an additional three feet and still left enough room on the aft deck for a table and four chairs. She features state of the art equipment and electronics with plenty of redundant systems. Her powerful 45HP Wesmar bow thruster makes her very comfortable to maneuver in tight spaces as well as the strong winds and currents experienced in the Northwest.

2009 80 Ocean Alexander review by JR Wills

(949) 678-5533 Very clean 2009 Ocean Alexander 80' Cockpit Motor Yacht currently laying in Fort Lauderdale and ready to cruise this season. She has been professionally maintained by a captain since new and is up to date on all services. This stabilized 3 stateroom / plus crew, and spacious galley lends itself well for entertaining large groups locally or underway!

2004 54 Ocean Alexander review by Michael Vrbas

(949) 632-1414 This is a very custom 548 that was built per this owner's specications. During construction the salon was lengthened 18" which gives it a much larger feel similar to a 60 foot yacht. There are 2 Northern Lights gensets and a 4KW Xantrex inverter for cruising. Original owner is downsizing and would consider smaller trades.

2005 41 Meridian review by Larry Abraham

(253) 232-9648 Original owner, lightly used, professionally maintained with TLC since new. Economical 330's, full electronics up & down, dual thrusters and more. Best value on a 411 available in the PNW. A must see, don't let this one get by!

2010 80 Ocean Alexander review by Kevin Piper
