PAUL RENNER.

the font came in light, medium, bold and bold oblique, but in the 1930s, more variations were added, including light oblique, medium oblique, demibold and demibold oblique.

As it is a geometric sans serif font, Futura uses geometric shapes in its fonts, such as perfect circles for the counters and sharplypointed triangles at the top of the ascenders in letters such as “A.”

Renner believed that modern fonts should express modern ideas instead of evoking bygone styles and designs.
