Time Entries Time Entries appear on the Activity Grid as colored (green) blocks and represent a period of time

spent on a particular task. DayBook User Interface

Entries are created by selecting a task or shortcut from the Project Tree, and then dragging that task to the Activity Grid. Once a time entry has been created, it can be moved to the proper day and time period. The entry can also be resized to show a longer or shorter time spent on Create time entries by dragging a task. the task. Create a Time Entry Place the cursor on the text of a task or shortcut in the Project Tree. Hold down the left mouse button and begin moving the cursor toward the Activity Grid — a time entry of the default size will appear under the cursor. Move the cursor to the desired day and time on the Activity Grid, then release the left mouse button — the time entry will be positioned on the grid. Move a Time Entry Position the cursor over the central part of the time entry. Hold down the left mouse button — a "move" cursor will appear and the entry's color will change. 'Move' cursor. Slide the entry to the correct spot. (Hint: Use upper left corner of the entry for positioning.) Release the left mouse button. Resize a Time Entry Move the cursor over the bottom edge of the time entry until the color of the edge changes to red — the "resize" cursor will appear. 'Resize' cursor. Hold down the left mouse button — the entry's color will change. Slowly stretch or shrink the height of the entry. The text of the entry will change to reflect the duration. Release the left mouse button when the entry is the desired size. Note: In IE version 5.5 the resize cursor is a hand instead of the cursor shown. Add a Comment

Double-click on the entry — a data-entry form will appear. Add a comment or modify the default comment. Save your changes. Time Entry Information For quick information: place the cursor over the entry — an abbreviated version of the entry's properties will appear. For detailed information: place the cursor over the entry, click the right mouse button and select 'Properties' from the context menu that appears. Copy a Time Entry Time entries can be duplicated using standard copy-and-paste operations. Entries can be copied within a displayed week or from one week to another. Click on the entry to be copied — it's color will change. Hold down the Control ("Ctrl") key and press the "C" key. (Alternately, select 'Copy" from the context menu. Move the cursor to the desired day and time Click on the Activity Grid. Hold down the Control ("Ctrl") key and press the "V" key - a duplicate of the time entry will appear under the cursor. (Note: The copied block can pasted multiple times.)
