Before filling/submitting the application form you are advised to go through the qualifications prescribed for the post (enclosed) and make sure that you posses the same. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED : 4. The application must reach the Registrar on or before the last date prescribed for receipt of applications. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE LAST DATE SHALL STAND REJECTED AUTOMATICALLY. 5. To avoid delay in the receipt of application through proper channel the candidates are advised to submit an advance copy of their application with NOC from their present employer (complete in all respect) before the closing date. However, the application through proper channel must reach within fifteen days of the closing date. SUCH APPLICATION RECEIVED AFTER PERIOD OF FIFTEEN DAYS SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED. 6. The Gujarat Technological University employees should submit their applications to their respective Heads of Departments at least ten days before the closing date for receipt of applications through their University Officer concerned. 7. In case of SC/ST/SEBC/PH Certificate issued by competent authority of Gujarat State attested by Gazetted Officer should be enclosed. In case of SEBC candidate noncreamy Layer Certificate for the current year should be enclosed, otherwise he/she will not be considered against SEBC category.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS/GENERAL INFORMATION : (A) FILLING THE FORM : 1. When you apply for more than one post you should submit a separate application for each post. 2. The application form obtained for a particular post shall not be used or considered for any other post 3. Documentary proof in support of previous experience and academic qualifications indicated in the application should invariably be sent along with the application failing which shall mean to believe that you do not possess the experience and qualifications mentioned therein and the application shall be treated as incomplete and may be rejected. 4. Clearly write the complete name of post for which you are applying. Please note that where the name of post is not given it may not be possible for the Registrar Office to entertain the application form failing which may lead the application to be considered by the Registrar Office for any resembling post for which the University shall not be held responsible.

Experience : (i) Nine years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of `6000 and above with experience in educational administration, OR (ii) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of high education, OR (iii)5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post. Age: Not more than 45 Years. Relaxation :(1) Age relaxation in suitable cases of the Employees of Gujarat Technological University and for the employees of other Universities of State of Gujarat. Age relaxation for S.C., S.T., etc. candidates shall be as per State Policy. (2) A relaxation of 5% from 55% to 50% of marks at the Masters level for the S.C./S.T. category. ASSISTANT REGISTRAR Pay Band : Rs.9300-34800+ GP Rs.5400 Minimum Qualification: (a) Masters Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC 7 point scale along with a good academic record as laid down by UGC.

Age: Not more than 35 years. Relaxation :(1) Age relaxation in suitable cases of the Employees of Gujarat Technological University and for the employees of other Universities of State of Gujarat. Age relaxation for S.C., S.T., etc. candidates shall be as per State Policy. (2) A relaxation of 5% from 55% to 50% of marks at the Masters level for the S.C./S.T. category. (3) A relaxation of 5% from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. degree holders, who have passed their Masters degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

(4) Minimum requirement of 55% at Masters level Shall not be insisted for the existing employees of the Gujarat Technological University and for the employees of other Universities of State of Gujarat. 5 CHIEF ACCOUNTS OFFICER Pay Band : Rs.15600-39100+ GPRs.6600 Minimum Qualification: (a) A masters degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC 7 point scale. Experience : (i) At least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 7000/- and above or with 8 years of service in the AGP of Rs. 8000/- and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration. ACCOUNT OFFICER GRADE-I 6 Pay Band : Rs.15600-39100+ GP Rs. 5400 Minimum Qualification: (a) Masters Degree in Commerce with Accounts and Auditing with 3 years experience in a responsible capacity in Accounts.

Age: Not less than 30years. Relaxation : Age & educational qualification may be relaxed to Bachelors degree preferably in commerce with 5 years experience on the post of Office Suptd. Or with 7 years experience on the post of cashier or its equivalent and above for internal candidates. SYSTEM ANALYST 7 Pay Band : Rs.9300-34800+ GP Rs.5400 Minimum Qualification: (i) (ii) (iii) Degree in Computer Science i.e. B.E. Computer from Statutory University. B.Tech. Computer Science from Statutory University OR M.C.A. or M.Sc. in Computer Science from Statutory University. OR Graduate Degree in any subject with Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from Statutory University or Government University.

Experience : 5 years experience as a programmer. Age: Not less than 24 years and not more than 40 years. Relaxation : Experience may be relaxed in case of a suitable candidate.

COMPUTER PROGRAMMER Pay Band : Rs. 9300-34800+ GP Rs.5400 Minimum Qualification: (i) a second class in Masters Degree in Computer Application or its equivalent qualification of recognised University ; OR (ii) second class Bachelors degree in Computer Application from a recognised University or its equivalent qualifications with about one years experience of Computer Programming in the Government Organisation or institution recognised by the Government;

OR (iii) second class Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application from recognised Board or Institute with about one years experience of Computer Programming in the Government organization or Institution recognised by the Government; OR (iv) second class Diploma in Computer Engineering or Technology from a recognised Board or Institute with about two years experience of Computer Programming in Government organizations or institutions recognised by the Government. Experience : 3 years of experience as a programmer. Age: Not less than 24 years and not more than 40 years.

ADM-ACCOUNT OFFICER :Pay Band : Rs.`9300-34800+ GP Rs. `4600 Minimum Qualification: i) At least a Second Class Bachelors degree in Commerce of a recognized University and ii) (a) Experience as a Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant / Works Accountant for at least five years or (b) Experience for at least five years in financial and general administration in Senior supervisory capacity in University / Government / Semi- Government or business organization. (c) Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as per Government of Gujarat rules. If the candidate without having passed CCC+ examination is selected, he /she will have to pass the said examination during the probation period, failing which, his / her services will be terminated. Desirable : Candidates should have experience of accounting and auditing in a large organization and knowledge of financial matters, budgetary system and performance budgeting. Age : Below 45 Years Age relaxable in suitable cases of the Employees of Gujarat Technological University.

ACCOUNTANT :Pay Band : Rs. `9300-34800+ GP Rs.`4400 Minimum Qualification: 1. Bachelors degree in Commerce with accounts and auditing with 5 years experience of accounts. Age : Not less than 25 years.

OFFICE SUPERINTENDENT :Pay Band : Rs. `9300-34800+ GP Rs.`4400 Minimum Qualification: (1) Master in Business Management / Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management / M.A. / M. Com. / C.A. or (2) B.Com. / BA / Bachelor Degree in Business Management with 5 years experience as Junior Accountant or Sr. Clerk having working experience of Finance / Administration /Accounts Age : from 18 to 35 years.

STORE OFFICER Pay Band : Rs. 9300-34800+ GP Rs.4200 Minimum Qualification: 1. Bachelor Degree with 5 years of experience of office Administration or accounts or store. Age: Not less than 25 years.

DATA ENTRY OPERATOR :Pay Band : Rs. `5200-20200+ GP Rs. `1900 Minimum Qualification : (1) Graduate of any faculty . (2) Knowledge of Computer (Gujarati and English Typing), (3) Preference will be given to the candidate having the Certificate of the CCC examination passed. If the candidate who does not possess such certificate of CCC examination, he shall have to get such certificate during the probation period. Age : From 18 to 28 years.

COMPUTER OPERATOR :Fixed Pay Rs. `5000 Minimum Qualification : Graduate or diploma in Computer Tech / Application with three years experience of operating computer. Experience : Experience of supervision of Data Entry Operation is desirable. Preference will be given to graduate with Certificate in Computer Programming. Age :from 18 to 28 years.

General Footnote: 1. Possess the basic knowledge of computer application equivalent to courseon computer concepts (CCC/CCC+) of Department of Electronic Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) society or of the level as may be prescribed by government from time to time. 2. The post of SC, ST, SEBC and PH will be filled up as per State Government rules in all posts. 3. Age relaxation is admissible as follows as per the State Govt. Rules. (1) Five years of upper age in case of : (i) SC, ST & SEBC made candidates belonging to domicile of Gujarat, (ii) women candidates of general category. Statement-1 Terms & Conditions of Service of the employee appointed on contractual basis on Fix-Pay Terms & Conditions of Service. (1) (2) (3) (4) The Candidate appointed on the post by direct recruitment. On the Contractual monthly fix pay against the pay bend of the concerned post. Such appointee shall not be entitled to the any benefits which are available to the Govt. employee nor he shall claim such benefits. Such appointee shall furnish the undertaking in the prescribed format attached herewith. Such appointee shall be entitled to travelling allowance as per the Circular of the Finance Deptt. of the State Govt. dated 19-9-2002 and subsequently issued from time to time for the travelling of Govt. work during the Contractual period of service. Such appointee shall be entitled to 12 casual leave on per year basis during the contractual period. He shall not be entitled to any other leaves. If he enjoys the beyond 12 casual leave, then salary of such leave shall be deducted from his fix salary. But, the women appointee shall be entitled to maternity leave as per the provisions of Gujarat Civil Services Rules-2002(GCSR). The contractual period of service of such appointee shall not be considered for the purpose of the eligible benefits for employment, service or policy of Compassionate appointment of the State Govt. Such appointee shall perform his duties & responsibilities assigned to him by the head of the section or higher officers. Such appointee shall generally perform duties during the office time. However, he shall perform duties beyond the office hours if such instructions are given to him by the concerned officer. It is expected that such appointee should act/behave as per the Gujarat State Service (conduct) Rules-1971 prescribed in this behalf, during the contractual period. The immediate concerned head of such appointee, shall make the assessment of the work every year under the contractual appointment in the prescribed form, and concerned Reviewing Officer shall review such assessment. If the period of duties is less than one year, then without prejudice to any kind of time limit, the concerned head shall write the assessment reports of such appointee taking into consideration the duties performed for the period working under him-and accordingly such assessments shall be reviewed.

(11) Such appointee, after completion of the period of contractual appointment, shall be considered for the appointment on the concerned post carrying regular pay Band and Grade pay taking into consideration the following matters. (1) On the basis of overall assessment reports under the period of contractual appointment of such appointee, the appointment in regular pay Band and grade pay shall be considered. (2) If such appointee does not pass the pre-service training and pre service training-end examinations of the concerned post during the period of contractual appointment and also does not pass the prescribed Computer Concept examination he shall not be appointed on the concerned post in regular Pay Band & Grade pay and it shall be considered to terminate his services. (12) If such appointee is appointed on the concerned cadre in the regular Pay Band & Grade pay as per serial No. -(11) above after the period of contractual appointment, he shall be --(1) eligible for the pay at the minimum stage in the regular pay band of the concerned post/ cadre and other admissible allowances. (2) eligible for the seniority in the post/cadre considering the date of his regular appointment made or recommended in order of priority in selection by the GPSC or Recruiting Agency as per recruitment rules. (3) eligible to get all the benefits which are available to the Govt. employee from the date of his seniority, and all the prevailing rules of the Govt. employees shall be applicable to him.

The service of such appointee shall be liable to termination (i) When the post is not available or (ii) for the reasons of preliminary established serious misconduct or (iii) when found lacking in his capabilities or efficiency for performing the duties of the concerned post, (which is established on the basis of annual assessment reports) by giving one month notice or on payment of one month fix salary in lieu of notice, similarly such appointee, during the period of contractual appointment shall get relieved from service by tendering resignation with one month notice or one month fix salary in lieu thereof. However, if such appointee has given Bond on account of pre-service Training, he shall be required to pay the Bond amount. (14) After the appointment on fix salary on contractual basis, any additions/alte ration/ deletion in the Rules shall be applicable to such appointee.
