Dawn Ritz: ALL CAPS Vincent Guastini: lowercase (MOD specified) _______________ OK SHOULD WE START W/ TAMARA DRESS FOR

COSTUME ? TAMARA- THE NIGHT GOWN! 'IT IS A 1920'S/30'S TRUE VINTAGE NIGHTGOWN WE HAD A BOW THEME AND FROG THEME FOR TAMARA! THAT IS ALL I WILL SAY ON THAT- WHEN YOU SEE TDC YOU WILL UNDERSTAND. THE BOW THING WAS SOMETHING THAT GREW IN DEVELOPING HER CHARACTER... WE INCOROPRATED A LOT OF LITTLE SECRETS FROM THE SCRIPT INTO THE WARDROBE AND EACH CHARACTER. WE WANTED EACH CHARACTER TO REPRESENT THEIR OWN THEMES- AND TAMARA- SHE WAS ONE OF THE FIRST TO TALK ABOUT AND ONE OF THE LAST COSTUMES DONE TO BUILD HER NIGHTGOWN- A WHITE VINTAGE SHORT SLEEVE NIGHT GOWN, A HOT PINK BOW APPROX 6" TALL SEWN AT THE CENTER BACK _____________________________________ MOD: This one is for Dawn! Quite a few people have asked about Wick, Scorpion an d Tamara's shoes, is there anything you could tell us about them? WICK WEARS BLACK SPARKLED TRUE CIRCUS VINTAGE HEEL BOOTS SCORPION- AHHH MY FAVORITE, I HAVE A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO HANK 3 FOR HELPING ME GET SCORPION'S BOOTS SITUATED. I GOT HIS BOOTS IN NASHVILLE, TN. HE WEARS REAL SPATS ON THE BACK! I AM SO PROUD OF HIS SHOES HAHA TAMARA WEARS BLACK AND WHITE SADDLE SHOES. ___________________________________ MOD: jeffrey666: "the clothes all seem very retro, what era are they from? or is it a mix?" Jeff wanted to know, the clothes all seem very retro, are they from any era in particular? DAWN RITZ: GOOD QUESTION AND I AM GLAD THAT YOU ASK! THE DEVIL'S CARNIVAL TAKES PLACE IN THE ERA OF THE 1920S/30S/40S- BUT TAMARA AND SCORPION STRETCH A LIL 50/60S (BUT IT WORKS WITH THEIR STORY) SO WHEN YOU RESEARCH KEEP IN MIND THAT ERA AND IT WILL HELP YOU IN RECREATING THESE COSTUMES- ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT TO PUT A LITTLE OF YOUR OWN CHARACTER INTO EACH CHARACTER! _______________________________________ MOD: Vince - What went into the choice of making the Scorpion have plastic hair? Was that in his character design or was it a personal touch? Also, was it

off the shelf or a special mold? DAWNRITZ: I THINK WE ARE GOING STRAIGHT FOR LUCIFER OK well I can tlak about what I had in mind when we designed him. With The devil I did not want to do Legend and I wanted to do something different. But it had to be Satan and Satan in movies has been done to death But since this was a carnival theme I wanted it to be as thou the Devil was playing dress up and putting on make-up for the carnival that, there was som e inspirations like the Joker form the Batman graphic novel the Killing Joke, and those old palying cards that had the Joker on them. as well as those old carnival paintings of devil type looking people. So classic vintage and abov e all sleek and sexy. So allot of referance of old paintinf of the Canival days of the 20's 30s and 40s ___________________________________________ MOD: Scully was curious to know about the underside of the prosthetic-- how it's built, how many peices there are, whether or not they are attached, and how it is held on... was there anythi ng you wanted to tell us about the technical side of it? Sure Was a hooded and a vacuformed piece that went under the hoody to hold the horns in place The face was a full prosthetic face So I had to design it to be quick in manfacture and to be ready on set to go on. As much contral over that was the way I went so I had to simplfy it even thou it took 3 hours or more to put on The hands were his hands with special made finger nails that were glued on. I decided not to or teeth Because I wanted It had to remain plus the singing him. He had to be the but it had to be use contacts Terrance to come through the make-up to be him, and not a mask and acting I did not want to take anyhting away from Devil Terrance as the devil.

MOD: Was the face prosthetic one piece, and what was it made of?

Was one piece yes and was Foam rubber. Other characters were made from Jello Gelatine. Lizard Painted Doll etc. Lion Tamer etc. were not Foam DAWN RITZ: I LOVED WATCHING THEM WORK THEIR ART EVERYDAY IT IS FACISNATING! Vincent: (smiley face) ____________________________________________ MOD: Can you tell us anything about Scorpion's hair? Where you got the idea for having it be plastic, and whether it was a mold or storebought? Was made he was lifecasted. and sclupted and made from foam rubber. As well. the Duracell commercail ads was kinda an inspiration but I think that came from Darren and Terrance. the foundation of the idea. DAWN RITZ: CAN I SAY ONE THING QUICKLY!??? DAWN: FOR THE RECORD- (CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG VINCE)- NOTHING IN TDC WAS STORE BOUGHT, I HAVE SO MUCH RESPECT FOR THE TIME AND TALENT ON TDC CREATIONS (smiley) )) NO was not. All made. (smiley) Good one Dawn glad you got that out there. DAWN: (smiley) from the get go Darren and Terrance had you guys in mind So that you can play dressup and come close or do these as well. So Cosplayers were very important to everyone on this shoot the Fans were on everyones mind. That was how Darren and Terrance set that up from day one when we met. MOD: Sorry guys, I have to get going, family thing. Thank you SO much to Dawn and Vince for coming and doing this! Vince: No problem was fun! DAWN: I SECOND WHAT VINCE IS SAYING. I LOVED THAT DARREN AND TERRANCE FROM DAY 1 SAID LET'S CREATE THESE CHARACTERS WITH THE FANS/ VIEWERS IN MIND AND HAVING THE WORLD OF YOU GUYS RECREATING DAWN: I THINK THAT IS VERY MAGICAL AND SPECIAL AND A FIRST FOR ME (smiley) )

DAWN: I CAN'T WAIT OMG! THIS IS AMAZING!!!! DAWN: I DO ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO GET CREATIVE! ____________________________________________________ MOD: It says on the Twin's poster that he's "checkered." Is he actually, you know, checkered makeup-wise? LOL yeah the scale pattern. He a lizard slick and well kinda seems a bit shady. I love him..............! (ninja smiley) DAWN: LOVE OHGR'S MAKE UP OMG Thanks Dawn yess made from Jello. Yes you could before he was painted eat off his face. We used that material cuase I wanted the tranlusancy. And we need to be budget wise a materia l that we could use that had those propertys If we used Silicone we could not of made our deadlines everyday. If we go tot series Will use that material. Also Galtine does melt if there to many hot lots in a studio situation which did happen once. Hot lights not lots. (smiley) It will melt. Most times we were outside on location and it got really cold. ____________________________________________ MOD: This is one for Dawn (smiley) Can you talk about Wick's frilly jacket at a ll? The inspiration, design, etc? THAT IS A MOTHER OF LONDON PIECE. WICK'S CHARACTER INFO: SHE IS THE LEADER OF THE WOE MAIDENS/ CLOWN MISTRESS.... SO SHE IS THE RING LEADER AND I CAN THINK IS "KINDA EFFED UP" BUT I LIKE IT. ... SO THAT IS WHAT WENT THROUGH MY MIND WITH HER ND I THINK THAT IS WHAT YOU MIGHT THINK WITH HER COSTUME- KIND EFFED UP, BUT I LIKE IT! SHE IS A RING LEADER WITH A RING HOOPED SKIRT THAT IS TATTTERED AND VICTORIAN-ESK! SHE NEEDED A SILOUETTE PIECE TO COMPLETE HER LOOK AND THE MOTHER OF LONDON PIECEWAS PERFECT! NOT BE RUDE- BUT I HAVE TIME FOR ONE MORE QUESTION AND THEN I HAVE TO GO:/ AFTER VINCE'S QUESTION OF COURSE! I WILL MAKE TIME TO COME BACK THROUGH AND ANYONE CAN SEND ME A FACEBOOK MESSAGE AND I AM HERE TO HELP IN THE NAME OF ART AND TDC COSTUME CREATIVES!!!

________________________________ MOD: Thank you so much for being with us today! For Vince's go--can you tell us about the Doll's makeup? Is her face cracked as it looks on her poster? Yes same thing made from Gelatine with 3 to four overlapping prosthetics so her face was indeed a jigsaw puzzle. ANd Emilee was the nicest, beautiful and talented person I had to work on. John Wrightson took over the daily chores of doing her make-up. And it turne d out beautiful. Was all glued on and airbrushed. And she wore a single contact in one eye. Was like a dolls eye in color. I wanted that broken doll look to her. __________________________________________ MOD: Okay Dawn, your last question following on from that; TyrantZee wanted to k now what the inspiration for the Painted Doll's -outfit- was? MILDRED OF MOTHER OF LONDON! HANDS DOWN- THE ONLY ONE THAT INSPIRED THE POSSIBILITIES OF THE ABILITIES TO CREATE A ONE OF A KIND CORSETT THAT IS DIFFERENT THAN OTHERS! EMILIE AUTUMN AND DARREN- HAD A STRONG VISION FOR THIS CHARACTER! SO THIS CHARACTER WAS A VERY SPECIAL ONE IN THE COSTUME CREATIONS SIDE TO IT: IT WAS A COLLABORATIVE ONE AMONGST EMILIE AUTUMN, DARREN EVERY STEP OF THE WAY! (TO THE LAST MINUTE COLOR CHANGE (smiley) LOL HER COLORS ARE CREAMS, BEIGE, BURGUNDY, RED, AND BLACK SHOES OF COURSE! (assorted thanks & gushing from all) YAY! GOOD DAY TO ALL! (assorted thanks & gushing from all) (dawn leaves) Vincent: If there any more question I got time to answer one more. Then I have to pop out. Your all very welcome by the way. was allot of fun. non-MOD : May i ask about the difficulties of working with jello? lol Sure It melts but it only happen once inside a hot studio.

diz: You've done great work, btw. aww thanks ______________________________________________ MOD: Guys, remember, PM your questions to mods. MOD: You said you drew inspiration from the Killing Joke comic for Lucifer-- Did you draw similar inspiration for the almost Penguin looking nose on Dayton Callie? City of Lost Children was one inspriation. The nose was more to add a werid character trait, and make his face more like say one of the Ghosts from th e Haunted Mansion ride. they all kinda have those exagerated nose and chin looks. so thats where that came from MOD: That's awesome, thank you Vinnie Yourwelcome (smiley) And now I'm gone that was fun, (assorted thanks & gushing from all) I loved it. Great questions (assorted thanks & gushing from all) I'm sure as soon as I get permission there will be pics and articles on the make-up. Stay tuuned. Shucks. Bye! YUP LOL (vincent leaves) Oh I will stop in thanks!
