It needs to consider not only what profits it makes. to take stock of reality and to realize the value and essence of human life. As a business cannot run without its customers. The essay tries to implore for us to come together. And it is this idea that I have tried to reinforce time and again in this essay. My simple idea is that management needs to evolve on a more holistic scale. This is not a doomsday essay but one that is a reflection of the need of human spirit to evolve. All of us are managers with the primary task of managing our lives in a positive manner such that it leaves a positive impact not only the people around but on the complete environment around us. The world is a reflection of self but it is a lesson hardly taught by any of the management stalwarts. As managers we need to understand our micro roles and the complete impact these roles have in the macro scenario. When we accept change and we accept ourselves things start to turn around us for the better. it needs to get bigger and better and broader. This is a very basic and straight forward definition that looks to explain management but even after all of this we tend to have a myopic understanding of the word. We are managers and we are leaders who have the primary task of managing and leading our lives in the best possible way. For this we need to learn. Who is to say a single mother managing two jobs and a kid is not an effective manager. it augurs well for us as leaders and managers. And that was probably because of his simple nature. But his principles are the ones that we need to look up again to pull us from despairs of increasing inequity between people. It is probably because of this that he felt disillusioned with corporate culture in the later part of his life. Peter Drucker understood the greater meaning of business: the business of life and how do we go about managing our lives in a way that it leaves a fragrant legacy even after it is over. But what he was not able to see was the fallacy of human nature. It is high time we start moving in the order of things as he saw them. To his precise. How far can we take that forward remains yet to be seen but I believe that it is in our hand. There are people whose plight cannot be put into words but it serves us better to ignore them and carry forward with our materialistic conquests. But we are so caught up in our influence of transition that we forget the simple moral lessons that we . Even in business it was about customers and they defined a business according to him. I believe if we open our eyes and see around social entrepreneurship ventures are keeping his legacy alive. But on the positive side I see slowly somewhere in our busy daily lives. I am not asking for us to give up on everything but just to find a humane balance. Using social media we should be making organizations accountable for any of their wrong doings. Drucker had once remarked that what matters is how one touches other people’s life and he had been successful in doing that. time and money in making lives of others better. One can almost feel him smiling gently and asking us a question to make us realize what is evident. but it is time where these objectives are defined taking the bigger picture in consideration that looks for everybody’s interest. I understand it is a very subjective choice but the way some managers flaunt their wealth it is obscene and shameful. One of his greatest gifts to us is management by objectives. are decentralized. Some of his insights seem to be so obvious today and I believe in time we shall feel the same about his values of human concern. by questioning them. These organizations are small in size than most corporate. But what this desire also produced was technology and this can be used to leverage Drucker’s legacy. By the end of his life Drucker seemed to be disgusted by the mad run made prevalent by people’s capitalistic desires.
But it is essential that we do not get overawed by this complexity and see the world around us as a complete picture. We live in a complex world that is increasingly getting more and more complex. the anarchy if all of us decided not to manage ourselves? So yes it is important to manage but with a sense of purpose and responsibility and while deciding on both of these parameters our overall contribution to shape the environment around us must not be ignored. The objectives that guide us should be set in such a way so as to leave a positive impact as we move forward. imploring us to see it. He is the spirit of management: the spirit that acts like an angel always taking care of people and urging the modern day management to do the same. It is time for a change in paradigms. Drucker is not a page. I believe management undergoing a major change where manager will not only be accountable for how they run their organisations. But to say that management is not good for all would again be acting as if having partial blindness. But management should be understood in its truest sense. He is not an article. . a book or a management theory. Can we imagine the chaos. Drucker to my mind never forgot those childhood lessons. Getting back to the question is Management good for all? Once again I would just like to reinforce my point of view that not only is management good for all. the shift that Peter Drucker had been advocating all along.were taught as children. But managers would also be responsible for how their reactions influenced the complete environment. By ignoring any one part of the picture we are not being fair and also distorting the picture and disturbing the overall balance. it is imperative. not a chapter in books of management.
