Be sure to teach the patient the following about this medication
Administer doses 30 min before meals and at bedtime May cause drowsiness. Caution patient to avoid driving or other activities requiring alertness until response to medication is known. Advise patient to avoid concurrent use of alcohol and other CNS depressants while taking this medication
