Mild beers category ranges from 3.25 to 5.25 and the strong category ranges from 5.25 to 8.25The main competitor of the Mount Shivalik Breweries ltd. is Kingfisher and Haywards.

Kingfisher is an Indian beer brewed by United Breweries Group. The brand was launched in 1978. With a market share of over 36%, it is India's largest selling beer, with 1 out of every 3 bottles of beer sold in India being a Kingfisher brand. It is currently available in 52 countries outside India. There are 4 variants of the beer that kingfisher offers. They are as follows:

Kingfisher Strong Fresh: Kingfisher Strong Fresh is the first ever strong draught beer available in the Indian market. It is packaged in a 500 ml cans.

Kingfisher Draught: One of the most popular drinks at pubs where pitchers/ mugs are available off the tap, Kingfisher Draught has defined the concept of fresh beer in India. It is packaged in a 500 ml cans.

Kingfisher Ultra: It was launched in Mumbai in 2009. It is an entry in the premium beer segment in the country to compete with international players like Carlsberg, Heineken and Budweiser.

Haywards is the largest selling strong beer brand which perfectly combines strength with quality credentials that meet the high expectations of todays demanding consumers. There are three types of the beers that Haywards of offers they are as follows: Haywards 2000 Haywards 5000 Haywards 10000

Haywards 2000: it is a mild beer with 5.5% alcohol.

Haywards 5000: it is a top selling strong beer that contains 7% alcohol.

Haywards 10000: the rarer super strong Haywards 10000. Lovers of stout beer may be interested in Haywards Black -- India's first genuine stout beer. It's a strong dark colored beer, with 8% alcohol, and a heavy sweet malty taste that apparently hints of caramel
