Do not attach the power supply to the SELCO product before the HyperTerminal application is running. You might want to save a short-cut to the Windows Desktop. Clicking on the Call and Disconnect icons in the HyperTerminal tool bar does this. so that you can easily start the preconfigured HyperTerminal next time you need it. This saves you the hassle of going through the configuration procedure every time you need to access the RS232 based configuration of the SELCO product.3 Starting a pre-configured HyperTerminal The previously saved configuration can be used next time you need to start up HyperTerminal. Double click on the previously save Direct COM1. First start up the PC and wait until the Desktop is ready for your command.
