elcome to New Hope Church, a place for new beginnings! If you are visiting, you will discover a loving, spirit-filled church family. Ministries/Activities Within Our Church
• • • Holy Week/Easter Events Schedule April 6, Good Friday Service of Darkness (Tenebrae) after Sundown (7:30 p.m.) April 7, Community Easter Egg Hunt at 12:00 noon (note change of time). April 8, Easter Sunday – Two services, one at 8:30 (45 minutes) for those who will be working during the large second service at 10:00, lite breakfast in between services from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. Church Van Ministry – The Session has committed the church to purchase a “used” van, less than $18,000. On faith, the church will borrow the money to start, and a Van Fund has been established that you can donate to as the Lord leads. The van will have many uses including building the community of believers around our church. Ushers needed – Eld. Bill Brown is the head of New Hope’s Usher Ministry and needs a few more volunteers to help him out. Bill will give

you thorough instructions and training for this position which would only require one Sunday a month. th News from the 200 Bicentennial Picture of the Week – Louise Anniversary Driver, Raymond & Mary Lou Bay - 1982 Committee – this small group has been going through picture albums, planning the layout for the narthex redecoration and coming up with a budget for the th 200 anniversary celebration. We need more suggestions from you on a slogan for the anniversary. The winner gets a $50 gift card. Also, we would like to hear your suggestions for items to include in a time capsule. Youth Worship on Wednesday Nights @ 6:00 at New Hope - teens (grades 7 – 12) experience a contemporary and motivated style of worship. We have a service with prayer, singing praises to God and a youth-focused sermon that teach the truths from God’s Word in a way teens relate to and understand. Pastor Brad leads this service in the gym and opens the doors for teens to start coming at 5pm to hang out, play games, and talk. A light meal is shared before the service starts. Pastor Brad says, “We love hanging out together and worshiping an awesome God!” Stephen Ministry is a program that selects and trains laypeople for Christian caregiving. Stephen Ministers in our church are certified and trained to help people go through the many transitions and challenges in life. Our Stephen Ministers serve anyone in need, both within and outside the church. Call the church office if you are interested in receiving care through the Stephen Ministry program. Stephen Ministers are the Caregivers…God is the Curegiver!
