We are one of the pioneers in India to develop and manufacture Long Rod Silicone Composite Insulators for Transmission and Distribution Line Ranging from 11KV to 400KV & 25 kV for Railways OHT. We have 50,000 sq.ft. covered factory area. We have received the Best Exporter Award for 8 years from CAPEXIL. We have received the Best Exporter Award from Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India for our meritorious export performance. Deccan has in-house R&D recognized by Ministry of Science & Technology Govt. of India. Mr. O.P. Jalan, Chairman. Graduate from St. Xaviers College, Kolkata and has over 42 years of experience in trade, commerce and industry & business. He has floated a number of successful ventures both in India and abroad. He has been Past-President of All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) & Ex-Member of Rubber Board. He has also been Committee Member of FICCI and past Chairman of CAPEXIL. He is also Director on the Board of Amiantit Rubber Industries Ltd., Saudi Arabia. Mr. Vikas Jalan, Jt. Managing Director. MBA from the prestigious London Business School, U.K. and has over 14 years of experience in India & Abroad. He is also active in various trade associations and is presently a Member in Managing Committee of All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA). He is the Director of the Companies in India involved in identifying business and growth and he is also a Director on the Board of our Joint Venture Company, M/s. Amiantit Rubber Industries Ltd., Saudi Arabia. Mr. A. S. Rao, Technical Director. Mr. A.S. Rao is Mechanical Engineer from Andhra University and has over 35 years of experience in India & Abroad in field of Engineering and product development. He is also Director of Companies in India involved in various activities like Communications, Computer Engineering etc. Mr. M.K. Agarwal, Director. Promoter & Managing Director of Gati Ltd and Gati Infrastructure Limited. GATI is Indias leading integrated logistics solutions provider with sales of over Rs.700 Crores. Gati Infrastructure Limited is setting up 100 MW Hydro Power project in Sikkim. Mr. M.K. Agarwal has rich experience in Industry & Trade and adds substantial value to the Board of Directors of Deccan Enterprises Pvt. Ltd.

MANAGEMENT TEAM:
Deccan has well qualified and experienced team to look after the day to day activities of the company. The team includes MTech (HV) engineers, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Industrial Engineers for manufacturing, quality and product development. The Works is headed by AGM (Works) who has 20 years experience. Marketing, Finance and Commercial activities are headed by well qualified people having over 15-20 years experience in their respective fields. WE ARE.
Currently manufacturing insulators ranging from 11 kV to 400 kV. Our insulators have been tested and approved for design test and type test as per IEC 61109 1992 at Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), Bangalore. Approved us for manufacture and supply of Silicon Composite Insulators up to 400KV Transmission Lines for 120KN and 160KN SML to Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. The only company in India to have successfully tested our Insulators both for 5000 hrs Tracking and Erosion test by Salt Fog method at CPRI, Bangalore and 5000 hrs Accelerating Ageing [Multi Stress Test] Test as per Annexure C of IEC 61109 [1992-03] at STRI, Sweden. Already supplied our insulators to Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd, Vadodara, Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited, in Hyderabad, Punjab State Electricity Board, Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited, Kerela State Electricity Board etc. We are also approved major supplier to Indian Railways for supply of Silicone Composite Insulators for use in their AC Traction system. All the material supplied till date are working satisfactorily.

UNIQUE DESIGN
Our insulators are with latest world-class design with aerodynamic sheds and impenetrable design of mould over end fittings. In this process the end fittings are crimped on the FRP Rod before moulding. Therefore, the insulator is moulded in an injection moulding machine in one shot moulding, wherein, silicone rubber is moulded over end fittings as well as the rubber filled between the interference of end fittings and FRP Rod under high temperature & pressure. Deccan developed the unique complete composite insulator that is impenetrable to Humidity and Moisture. The moulding over the end fitting also ensures minimum electrical field stresses at the critical area of the interface between metal end fittings, FRP core and the silicone rubber shed preventing failure of the insulator due to brittle facture or tracking and erosion. Results of the Electrical Field Analysis & the photograph of the Mould over End fitting shown below when compared to conventional design, demonstrate the feature of our Silicone Insulators.

RAW MATERIAL & MACHINERY:

SILICONE RUBBER: Silicone Rubber plays a vital role for insulators performance, life and reliability. We use only the worlds best Silicone Rubber directly imported from the World Leaders in the USA and Europe. They have proven service life across the Globe of over 3 decades. It maintains its full Hydrophobicity over the life of the insulator. It has fast transfer of hydrophobic property over pollution layers Has high tracking resistance. Unlike others we dont source from China and do not mix & match of the compounds at our end. PLANT & MACHINERY: Our Insulators are manufactured on world class European Injection Molding machine unlike others sourcing the machinery from locally or China & Korea. These European design machines have unique feature as given below: a) Crimping Only company in India to install Crimping Machine with Computerized Pressure Force Control & Acoustic Sensor from Germany to ensure each and every crimp is controlled through computer software. b) Computer control Injection moulding machines with patented FIFO injection system. c) Flow Control Cold Runner Block (FCCRB) used on the injection machines to ensures optimum injection volume across the length of the insulator, d) German designed Moulds with hydraulic fingers to ensure uniform moulding thickness of Core over the FRP rod.

ADVANTAGES:

From the aforesaid you may find that Silicone Composite Insulators are up to 90% lighter than Porcelain disc insulators, thereby saving in transportation cost, reduction in installation costs, saving in breakage costs and also easy of handling, storage and erection. Silicone Composite Insulators are resistant to breakages, vandalism and earthquakes. Silicone Composite Insulators are preferred choice of Electrical Engineers in Vandal & Earthquake prone areas. Silicone Composite Insulators have cutting edge performance as against porcelain insulators under polluted / contaminated environments due to their superior hydrophobicity property of silicone rubber, even under most wet and polluted conditions including dense fog, heavy rain with high conductivity, sea spray, dense saline fog, industrial pollutions etc., Silicone Composite insulators have superior performance at power frequency insulation where as porcelain disc insulator with metallic parts in each disc performs poorer in terms of insulation. Silicone composite insulators have the ability to handle more shock loads than that of porcelain insulator Zero Maintenance: Porcelain insulators require lifelong on-line maintenance frequently where as silicone composite insulator does not require such maintenance / cleaning on account of the unique hydrophobicity property of silicone rubber as already stated above.

COST EFFECTIVNESS:
The prices of Silicone Composite Insulators are almost the same as compared to the porcelain disc insulators on direct purchase price basis. If indirect savings of transportation, installation, breakage and maintenance are considered, Silicone Composite Long Rod Insulators stand much cheaper in the long run.

Breakages during transport, storage and installation during use on account of vandalism are taken into consideration, silicone composite insulator are significantly cheaper than of porcelain disc insulators.

If lifetime maintenance and cleaning of porcelain insulator is taken into account, silicone composite insulators are cheaper up to 100%, on account of maintenance aspects.
