Seattle’s Own R&B/Hip Hop Duo Steelo Releases Music Video for “Leave the DJ Alone” Vanguards Remix
Playing on seven commercial radio stations nationwide music video breathes new life into club friendly record
Seattle, WA /April 3, 2012 – Seattle-based R&B/Pop/Hip-Hop duo Steelo releases music video for the Vanguards club-friendly remix of “Leave the DJ Alone.” The video is directed by Steve Arcenio of Montesa Entertainment and features Michelle Font, former Miss WA USA 2008, fellow Seattle recording artist Jennifer Newberry, DJ Kun Luv, Swagger & Young clothing line, and a celebrity appearance by model and Lingerie Football League franchise quarterback Angela Rypien. It was filmed at Bellevue nightlife hotspots Lucky Strike and The Parlor, which provided a perfect party atmosphere. “Leave the DJ Alone” was remixed by DJ Kemo of Vanguards, the production team responsible for the wildly successful 2010 song “Dangerous” by Kardinal Offishall ft. Akon, and was independently released at the end of 2011 by Steelo. It has been gaining traction on commercial, college and independent radio throughout the country, including California’s KPAT-FM, KSXY-FM, KBOS and KKUU-FM, as well as WBLX-FM in Mobile, AL, KHTT-FM in Tulsa, OK, and Miami’s WHYI-FM. From soulful acoustic ballads to party tracks, Steelo’s energy comes to life through their charismatic performances; their music is a lyrical fashion show of urban-pop styles that boasts vibrant colors and modern cuts.
