The Sun ('lot hed Wnman A preacher in Louisiana told some people, "I know who the mall child is". He turned to I Corinthians l4 :~() and read: "Howbeit in malice be ye ch ildren, but ill underst.anding be men." He said that proved that we are the man child. But it takes more than that to show who the mall child is. Hef'ore we tan discuss the mall child, we must first see who the woman is. Turn to ltevelatlon chapter twelve and read: What is the zreat wonder in heaven ? It is a woman clothed with the sun. The moon is under her feet. A crown of twelve stars is on her head. She is with child, travailing in birt h. pained to be delivered. Likened l'ntu a Woman The church in the wilderness is likened to a woman. That is Cod's true church. The Lord said that lIe had likened thE:' da ugh tel' of Zion to a comely and a del ita te woman. I Ie did not sa~' that the church is a woman. l Ie must "liken" the church to something. so He chose to "liken" her to a woman. God always compares spiritual things to natural thing, so we can underxtaud ( Jer. ():~). "Fear not; for thou shalt not 11e ashamed: neither be thou confounded ; fur thou shalt 1I0t be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood anv more. For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of I lost i.'i his name; and thy Redeemer the Holv One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. For the Lurd hast called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved ill spirit, and a wife of thv youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God"" (Isa. :)-1:-1-6). As you read many Scriptures the church is sometimes "likened" unto a bride, a wife, a virsrin, or a virgin that is espoused. In the twelfth chapter of Revelation she is travailing wit h child. That does not mean that she is not a virg in.

Like Mary, the Mother of Jesus, that which is conceived ill her is of the Holy Ghost. It is going to be a miracle child. It will be a supernatural birth, Both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament the church is likened unto a woman, God does 1I0t have two dbtinct churches ! God's people in Old Testament times were called the "church in the wilderness". Those people trusted ill Jesus, His blood washed away their sins. His stripes healed them. (Lsa ;':).5). The blood of bulls and goats could not take away sin (Heb. 10:4), Yet David said his iniquities were forgiven. (Ps. 103.3), Their sins Were forgiven as they looked forward to the cross. Our sins are forgiven as we luok backward to the cross. Je::H1S died for the sins of all the world. He that was a Jew outwardly was not a Jew. (Jnlv the people who art' circumcized at heart are Jews (Rom. ~ :2~

In the Old Testament It would take a large book to show all the Scriptures <;od used in comparing' the church in the wilderness to a woman. When she wag persecuted, He said, "Like as a woman with child, that draweth neal' the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sig-ht, () Lord" (Isa. 26: 17), When she was suffering bv the hands of murderers He said, "For J have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion that bewaileth herself', that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers," (Jer. 4 :3]). When she was at war He said, "We have heard the fame thereof: our hands WaX feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us, and pain, as of a woman in travail", In speaking of what the church would face in the end time He said, "Ask ve now and See whether a man cloth travail with ch ild '? Wherefore do I see every man with his hands 011 his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness '! - Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble: but he shall be 'HIved out of it." (Jet'. ;~O:7)

III speakillg of .Jacob's trouble the Lord is speak inz of the end time, as we shall see later, llere he likens the saints in the end time as it woman in t ravail. but still reveals that they may be men, In Revelation Twelve the woman is ill travail. but before the chapter is ended We see that she is a company of people, including" men. (verses in and 11). Thus we prove the Scriptures by the :){:l'iptures. "By two or three witnesses we let each word be established" (II COl'. 1:~:1). Look at the true believers in the end time, even the time of the ant ichrist, ami See what Cod likens them to: "For' yourselves know p-rfectlv that the day of the Lord ::;0 cometh as a thief in the nig-ht. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape" (I Thes. 5:1-2). The reason this is likened to a woman in travail it is painful. It is sudden. It is unavoidable. There is no USe praying that these tribulations will not tome. We must pray that we can be Overcomers ill that day. There will be tribulations worse than the world has ever known.
Revelat ion Twelve Where dues this chapter fall'? A careful study will show that the woman in Revelation Seventeen is the false church. Some teach that she is the Roman church. That is only part of the truth. It includes all the prodigal daughters that will come back into the mot her of har-lots. Some say that the woman in Hevelat ion Chapter Twelve is Israel. That is only pan of the truth. She included all the true Jews, those that are circurncized at heart, Revelation Twelve begins just before the rise of the antichrist. All the head' on the beast are not crowned, In Chapter Thirteen we see that all of them are crowned, According to Chapter Seventeen the seven heads are seven world empires. There have been six up until the antichrist takes over. Between the Twelfth chapter and Thirteenth chapter the last world ruler comes on the scene, Then we see that they are all crowned .

Chapter Twelve runs parallel with other chapters. On important things the Lord goes back and relates it again in another wav. This covers the same things as does the preceding chapters, but more. For instance, Joseph's dream was given twice. They were one. In one he saw kine. In the next he saw corn. They meant the same. In speaking of an important subject as being born again, Jesus said "Verily, verily". For instance, the whole Gentile period is covered in the second chapter of Daniel. Then chapters 10,11, and 12 cover the same period. They cover more details. Objections Considered A few people offer objections when we say that the woman clothed with the sun is the church. Some even go so far as to say that the woman is Mary. the mother of Jesus. Mary, the mother of Jesus, is included in the church, but to say that she is the woman is not stating all the truth. Mary was not chased into the wilderness as soon as Jesus was born. She moved to Egypt about eighteen months after Jesus was born, but she stayed there a short while and returned. She lived for years around her home town. At the time Jesus was born the devil was yet in the heavenlies. He is yet the prince of powers of the air, (Eph. 2 :2). Revelation Twelve is speaking of the time that the devil will be cast out or the earth, knowing that he only has a short time. In Revelation Twelve the devil only has three and one-half years. The reason the man child could not be Jesus is that Jesus lived here thirty-three years after He was born, but the man child was caught up to God as soon as He was born. To say that Jesus is the man child is not. all the truth. He is part of the man child. He is the head of the' church. He is part of the company. John sees the woman facing a dragon which had seven heads and ten horns. The seven heads mean the seven world mpires, Ten horns will be under the last empire. This was not in existence when Jesus was born. Therefore, Mary could not have bee II the woman (Rev. 17:17). There have been six 4

world empires until now. Antichr-ists: empire is to be next. The tell kingdoms under the last empire, and the ten toe" on the image Daniel saw, mean the same. So we have not yet come to the end of the Gentile Supremacy. Since John saw, in Revelation Twelve, the dragon and the woman. they have been in existence since the first empire, Babylon. The battle between the woman and the dragon began long ago. "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman. and between thv seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel". The dragon represents the whole period of history. The dragon caused Cain to slay his brother. He caused Joseph to be sold by his brethren. He caused Pharaoh to try to slay Moses, He caused King Herod to seek to kill Jesus. He caused Nero to put the earlv Christians to death. He will persecute the saints and put them to death in the last clays (Rev.
13 :7,1;,).

Israel and the Church Israel and the New Testament church are related. In fact, the Gentiles were not admitted until about 51 A.D. (Acts Chapter Ifi). Up until Acts, Chapter 10 the church consisted of all Jews. Paul decided to take the gospel to the Gentiles 54 A.D. (Acts Ix :6). Head Romans 11 :~3-25 and you will see that the olive tree is a svrnbol of both the Old Testament and the New Testament church. "And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in; for God is able to graft them in again. For if thou were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree; how much more shall these, which be the natural branche,s be grafted into their own olive tree 7" All of the above scripture is not yet fulfilled . The word of God makes a list of the heroes of faith. Abraham is the father of the faithful. He is in that list of faith heroes, Inspiration declares that they without us are not made

perfect. (Heb. 11 :39-40). We are Abraham's seed according to promise. The heroes of faith include both Jews and Gentiles. The Gentiles could be proselyted into the church in Old Testament times. Jews may accept Christ and become Christians in our time. Many of them do. We are all one in Christ Jesus (Gal. 3:2X). There are vet ten lost tribes of Israel which will return. Many of them will accept Christ and be part of the church. Most people are looking for a national resurrection (Ezek. 37: l;)-~~). The ten tribes may be restored near the time of the snatching awav. It looks like the Old Testament church and the New Testament church will both be considered one great body (Rev. 11:1H). All Christians are children of Abraham and are true Jews (Rom. 2 :2~-29). Jews outwardly are not Jews, but they are part of the false church. They are in cooperation with the dragon. Heavenly Sign The woman is a sigl1 in heaven (Rev. 12:1). Although the church is on earth. yet she sits in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Eph, ~ :6). There is now a conflict going on with Satan, for he is the power and the prince of the air (Eph. 2 :2). The woman is clothed with the sun. She is a symbol of Christ, for Christ is the sun of righteousness (Mal. 4 :2). Still the church is to be like Christ. The works that He did we must do (John 14 :12). The church is to put on the armour of light and let her light shine before men. The woman has the moon under her feel (Rev. 12:1). The moon is a symbol of the powers of darkness. The word lunatic comes from luna. Devil possessed people act upon the full moon. Jesus gives us power over all the powers of the enemy. We can tread Satan under our feet (Rom. 16 :20). We can tread upon serpents and scorpions (Luke 10:18-19). The woman has twelve stars in her crown. The church 111 the Old Testament times had twelve tribes. The church in New Testament times had twelve apostles. "And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and,

sauce to me"

behold the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obei(Gen. ~7 :9). The twelve stars, the moon, and the sun in Revelation Twelve all have a meaning. The twelve tribes all are included in the woman symbol. Of course, the twelve apostles are also included in the complete church (Rev. 21 :14). That they of the Old and New Testament are combined is clearlv stated in Matthew 19 :2~: "And Jesus said unto them, V~rily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, .ve also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel!" Travailing Woman We have already seen that the travailing woman represents the church. We have already said that because she travails does not prove that she is not a virgin. Mary travailed and she was a virgin. The elect lady had children (II John 1). We are commanded to travail so that spiritual children might be born in the kingdom of God, (Gal. 4:19). "But Jerusalem, which is above, is free, which is the mother of LIS all" (Gal. 4 :26). "My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you" (Gal. 4:19). The church is likened unto a travailing woman in many places (Gal. 4 :27). Why think it strange that the woman in Revelation Twelve would also represent the church? Jesus is likened to a bridegroom (Matt. 25: 1-6). The church, a bride, who is likened to a wife (Rev. 19:7; Rev. 21: 9) so is the church in the Old Testament. The child that is going to be born is a miracle child. He is giving the woman pains now. The woman is restless. She must give birth to this man child very soon. What John saw in Hevelation Chapter Twelve was in the future (Rev. 4 :1-4). No doubt we will see this Chapter fulfilled completely in our generation. Head on. Watch and pray.

The Mother of Harlots Just as the true church is likened to a virtuous woman so the false church is likened to an unfaithful woman. "How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord God, seeing thou doest all these things. the work of an imperious whorish woman". The Lord did not say the unfaithful church is a woman, but He used the word "as" a woman. "But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband" (Ezek. 16 :32). Any husband that is worth anything will be first or he will not be. He will not count. himself a husband if another man is allowed to come into his wife's arms. The Lord feels the same way. He is a jealous God. He will not allow any other God to be worshipped. Just as some women have no resistance .-;0 some churches yield to every kind of wordliness and follow every style of the devil that comes along. When God's people turned against Him and went after the world this is what He said to them, 'IWherefore, 0 harlot, hear the word of the Lord ... I will judge thee as a woman that breaketh wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in my fury and jealously," (Ezek. 16 :35, 38). One time the prophet Hosea married a wife that was unfaithful. The Lord told Hosea that he could understand how He felt when his people were unfaithful to Him (Hosea 3:13). It would help you to understand how the Lord feels when His people are unfaithful if you will read the whole book of Hosea through without stopping. True Members The Bible teaches us that God has set the members in His Church as it has pleased Him (I Cor. 12 :28). Who set the members in the church? 8

It is God that sets the apostles, prophets, pastors, evangelists, and teachers in the Church (Eph, 4: 11). A pastor must be a God-called pastor, or he is not a pastor. A teacher must be a God-called teacher, or he is not a teacher. An evangelist must be a God-called evangelist, or he is not an evangelist. It is .Jesus that gives these gifts and calling. These gifts and calling are without repentance (Rom. 11 :29). God never withdraws these callings. If you backslide and come back to the Lord you will have the same job you left. It was true with Peter, Jonah, and everyone that was ever called of the Lord. It is wonderful to vote in a pastor, if you get the right one. It is great to vote in a teacher if you get the right one. It is great to call an evangelist if you get the right one. It is all right to take in members if you get them that are saved. A man walks in the door and says, "I am Pastor J." You say, "We are glad to see you Pastor J. Come to the front and lead us in prayer." A man walks into the door and says, "I am Apostle M." You slip off in the corner and give him a cold shoulder. You whisper to someone and say, "That man is in false doctrine. Stay away from him." Yet, we have just as much Scripture for voting in one as we do for voting in the other. It is God that sets them in the church. Suppose they had voted on Moses. He would have been voted back into Egypt. Suppose they had voted on Gideon. He would have lost. He never would have gone to battle. The people would have voted Paul out at one time (II Tim. 4:11). They would have voted Jesus out (John 6 :68). Matthias was voted in to be an apostle in Judas' place. He was set aside. We see no place where he was used (Acts 1 :26). God set Paul in as an apostle (I Cor. 9: 1). We see that God's approval was put on him. They knew he was an apostle (II Cor. 12 :12). Members of Christ A man says he is going to open the doors of the church. He says he is going to take in members. Jesus says I-Ie is the Door. If we come up any other way we are thieves and robbers (John 10:1). He says He is the Door. He shuts and no 9

rnan opens. He opens and no man shuts (Rev. 3:7). The way
you get into the Church is to be born into it. The way you get out is to sin out. A man gets up and says that he is going to turn a man out of the church. Jesus says for us to let the wheat and tares grow up together. If we try to root up the tares we might root up some of the wheat. Jesus will separate them at the end of the world (Matt. 13 :29). Everyone should have a home church. He is taken in as a member of a local congregation because he is already in the true Church. There is only one true church. That is Jesus' Church. All Christians are members of that Church. The Lord is the one that adds to the Church (Acts 2 :47). There are no hypocrites in that Church. If you want to get away from the hypocrites, get in that Church by a spiritual birth. You can be born into the family of God. Otherwise you will not be in heaven (John 3 :16). A man starts a church. If God directs him to begin that church he will look around and see that God has set helpers in that church. He will see that God has given him deacons, teachers, ushers, and even a janitor. They will be faithful for they are God called. When we become a born again Christian we are members of Christ. It is all right to become members of a local assernbly if we are already a member of Christ. "For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body ... For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? ... But now are we many members, yet but one body ... Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular." Who puts the teachers in that body? Who puts the apostles in that body? Who puts the pastors in that body? "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles; second prophets; third teachers; after that miracles, then gifts of healings, governments, and diversities of tongues," (I Cor. 12: '28). It is all right to vote in someone to speak with tongues if

vou vote in the one tha t Cod has

hoseu. I t is all righ

~ote ill someone to interpret if you vote ill the one that God has chosen. It is all right to vote ill teachers and helpers if

you get the right ones.

Members of Harlots If a member of Christ becomes a member of a (;od anointed church which has the power of Cod and the g-ifts of the Spirit in it,everything will work in a wonderful way. If they happen to get into a church that does not have the signs following, they must know that they are 1I0t true believers, if the signs are not following their ministry (Mark 16: lti-17). When God calls one to preach He puts His approval 011 him by letting the signs follow his ministry (Mark 16: 16-17 : Acts ~ :2~). If he does not have signs following his ministrv then he has not waited 011his ministry (Rom 12 :7). He has run ahead of the Lord (Acts 1:4; Matt. 2X:19-20). Some were called; some were sent. Some just packed up and went. If \'OU are in a church that denies the power, Cod says for vou depart from that church (11 Tim :3 :5). That is a comrnandment. If you belong to a church that denies the power of God, then you have become a member of a harlot. All "churches" that flirt with the world and put God second are harlots. "Know ye not that your bodies al-e the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ. and make them the members of an harlot '? GOD FO~tBID. "What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one bodv '? for two sa ith he. shall be one flesh. "But he" that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit. "Flee fornication. _ ." (I Cor 6: 15-18). FLEE FOl{NICATION. You are committing spiritual fornication if you are supporting a "church" that denies the supernatural power of God and fights miracles. You must not be a fornicator. Speaking of the false church. God says. "Come out of her my people". If any man loves the world or anything that is in the world, the love of the Father is not in him (I John ~:1:). The

is getting ':;0 worldly. and the world is getting so you can hardly tell them apart. One time you asked it man if he were a Christian. Now you ask him what church he belongs to. To look at people; to talk to them; to hear them talk, vou don't know if thev are a Christian or 1I0t. You have to lo~k on the church book. That kind of Christian is not a true Cnristian. He is a modern member. He is a member of a harlot.

Mot her of Harlots Speaking of the Roman church, God calls her the mother of harlots. She is predicting that all the prodigal daughters will return and unite with the "mother church" She is so right. All the power is being centralized. When I was a boy WE had a one-room school house for all classes to attend. Since then the schools have consolidated until they have great schools in central location. Anyone would be ashamed to attend a one room school. People would make fun of them. I remember when a small merchant had a chance. Now he is pushed out of business by the large chain stores. Just as the schools. stores, unions. and factories have set up large corporations so the goverument is being centralized. At one time the federal government did not have power to raise taxes. Now our president has more power than a king. Anyone that even mentions States rights is laugh ed at. The power is being centralized. The United Nations is becominz stronger each year. Someday that power will supersede the power of the federal government. There will be a one world government. There have been six world empires up until now. God says there will be one more. The beast in Revelation Thirteen has seven heads. That means there will be seven world empires. We have had six. There will be one more (Rev. 17:10.) One World Church Today there is a move in the world to outlaw the independent church and make it illegal. All great powers are putting the pressure on the federal government to outlaw them. Thev say all churches must be members of the one world church.

They think everyone is unbalanced that does not join the Federal Council of Churches. They try to keep them off the radios, televisions, and tell them where they can't build churches. The Council of Churches is now in conference with the mother of harlots, trying to get every church in the world to become members of the one world church. That will be the church of the antichrist. In Revelation Seventeen we see that the mother of harlots is riding the beast with seven heads, the one world government. She will make a league with the world government, the antichrist power. She will take in every false church under the sun. They will all unite against the true saints of God. An angel told John, "I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore, that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication (spiritual fornication) ... I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns" Her name is MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH" She is drunken on the blood of the saints and martyrs. The whore sitteth on many waters (Rev. 17 :1). The waters mean peoples and multitudes, and nations, and tongues (Verse 15). The woman is that Babylon that reigns over the kings of the earth. She is the false church that now joins hands with the government to reach out its powerful hands of control over all the peoples of the earth. Some people say that the woman is the Roman church. That is only part of the truth. She does not include the Roman church, but she includes all the false churches of the world. Just as we are members of Christ, the imitation Christians are members of harlots. All the harlots will unite with the mother of harlots from which they sprang. Read Revelation Eighteen and you will see that God will judge that wicked woman, after she puts to death the Christians. She has committed fornication. She is called a queen, but she is a widow.

Her judgment

comes in one hour. She will be burned with

God is crying to you now, "Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues". Seven Last Plagues Everyone that is connected with any kind of false religion will be in the false church. They will be partakers of the plagues. They will have blood to drink. All the waters will turn to blood. Hail will fall the weight of a talent. The sun will scorch men with fire. People will gnaw their tongues for pain. Grievous sores will break out on men. They will be tormented. Locust will sting them. They will hurt like they are dying for five months. Death will flee from them (Revelation chapters 15, and 16). The members of the false church will go through the great tribulation and partake of the plagues. Members of the true church will be chased into the wilderness. They will be martyred for the name of Jesus (Rev. 13:7, 15). In the last days there will be seven women take hold of one man. They will say that they will wear their own clothes and make their own living, but they will want to be called by his name to take away their reproach, (Isa. 4 :1). Some people -say that has a literal meaning. They say it means that there will be more women in these last days than men. Some people think it means that the harlot churches will want to use the name of Christ to take away their shame. They want to dress like the world, look like the world, smell like the world, act like like the world, walk like the world, talk like the world. They want to put the name of Christ in front of their church houses and let their illigitimate children have a name. Which group is right? What does the Scripture mean? Both of them are right. Shall we take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? God forbid. FLEE FORNICATION! Which woman are you following, the one in Revelation Seventeen? Speaking against idolatry God said, "But draw near hither,

ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore" (isa. 57 :3). Speaking of the present day false church He says, "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore shall be a friend of the world is the enemy of God" (James 4:4). Keep the world out of the church.

Three and One Half Years In order for us to understand more about the man child we should look into the scripture and see that the time, "three and one-half years;' has an important meaning. We see that the man child was caught up to God and to His throne three and one-half years before the end. The three and one half years is one-half of a certain seven year period. The Lord worked six days and on the seventh He finished His work and rested. He told men to rest each seventh day. Man is so made that he must rest one day in seven. The Russians tried each sixth day. Then they tried each eighth day. Then they went back to the seventh. They find that it is better for their bodies, machinery, and the whole economy. Seven was a sacred number among the Jews, also indicating perfection, or completion. It was used very often in a symbolic manner for the whole of a thing. The number seven entered very largely into the religious life and observances of the Jews. Several times in the Scripture we see that the Lord had the people to observe a sabbath of weeks, or each seventh week. Sacred Number Seven oxen were laid upon the seven altars. The enemy was chased out seven directions. Seven lambs were laid upon seven altars. Seven priests carried seven trump ets. The promised land was divided into seven parts. Samson's power was in seven locks. The temple was seven years being built. The bullocks were seven years old they laid on the altar There were seven steps up to Ezekiel's temple. The doors on it were seven cubits wide. In the temple there were seven lamps and seven pipes. . Naaman dipped seven times in Jordan. The Children of Israel compassed Jericho seven days. They marched around

the city seven times on the seventh day. People bowed seven times. The blood was sprinkled seven times on the altar. The oil was sprinkled seven times. They sprinkled the house seven times. Mi,riam was shut out of the camp seven days, Elijah's servant went seven times to see if there was rain. The child that was raised from the dead sneezed seven times. David praised the Lord seven times each day. The furnace was heated seven times hotter than usual. Cain was avenged seven times. David was the seventh son in his family. There was a seventh captain appointed for the seventh month. The fever left the Nobleman's son the seventh hour. Jesus fed the multitude with seven loaves. There were seven basketfulls left. Holy Sabbaths The Lord did not only tell His people to rest each seventh day, but there was something holy about each seventh week, seventh month, and seventh year. The Children of Israel had their holy days the seventh month. They fasted in the seventh month. "Speak unto the children of Israel saying, "In the seventh month, in the seventh day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trump ets, an holy convocation" (Lev. 23 :24). We have many places in the Scripture which tell us that the seventh year had a real meaning to God's people. "But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord, thou shall neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard" (Lev. 25 :4). The people did not always observe these sabbaths. So they were sold into slavery to pay for the time they did not observe the sabbaths. Each seventh sabbath was also a sabbath, whether it was days, weeks, months, or years. After each "seven times seven" years there was a year of Jubilee. People let their land rest and all the slaves went free. As the Lord gave the people enough manna on the sixth day to last them over the sabbath, so He gave them a bumper crop on the sixth year to last the seventh year.

On the year of Jubilee all the slaves went free. All the debts were canceled. Every man went back to .his own possessions. There was no work done. (See Leviticus chapter 25.) The priest's fingers were dipped in the oil seven times. The house was shut up seven days until it was sanctified. The house was sprinkled seven times. The offerings lasted for seven days. The feast of tabernacles lasted seven days. Balaam had seven altars built. Seven priests marched before the ark. Saul was to tarry seven days for Samuel. The Jews fasted seven days. The people walked into the temple in groups of seven. Seven thousand men were reserved beside Elijah. There were seven men full of the Holy Ghost to look after the food for the widows. God destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan. There were seven pillars to the house of wisdom. The passover lasted seven days. In the seventh day of the seventh month they began a seven day feast. They offered seven bullocks on the seventh day. Seventh Day A thousand years is one day with the Lord. One day is a thousand years. (2 Peter 3 :8) When it gets into thousands of years the Lord still divides our time by sevens. The first two days were up to Noah's flood. The next two days were up until the birth of Christ. The next two days will be up until the return of Christ. There has already been almost six thousand years. The Bible says the time will be cut short for the elect's sake. The seventh day, or the seventh thousand years, will be a thousand years of rest. The devil will be bound. We will rule and reign with Christ for a thousand years. There will be nothing to hurt or to destroy in all of God's Holy Mount. The lamb will lie down with the lion. A little child shall lead them. The curse will be lifted from the earth during this seventh thousand years. Judgments Miriam was shut out of the camp seven days. Noah marched seven of each clean animal into the ark. He was there seven days before it started to rain. The ark rested on a mountain in the seventh month. There were seven years of 18

famine in Joseph's time. Seven kine and seven ears of corn signified it. Job laid on the ground seven days and seven nights when his seven sons died. Nebuchadnezar took Judah captive seven months. Cain was punished sevenfold. Hananiah died in the seventh month after Jeremiah pronounced judgment on him. It will take seven months to bury the dead in the time of Jacob's trouble. There will be seven women left to one man. The Lord will punish the people seven times. The mother of harlots sits on seven mountains. In Revelation, in the time of Jacob's trouble, there are seven angels, with seven vials, seven trumphets, seven seals, pouring out the seven last plagues on the beast with seven heads, seven crowns, and seven horns. Seven Kings are over seven world empires. There will be seven woes, and seven thunders. Time of Jacob's Trouble Jacob worked for his wife seven years. For seven years he had trouble with his father-in-law. There is a time in prophecy that is called a time of "Jacob's trouble". "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth up for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that time." Speaking of the time of trouble in the last days the Lord told us what would take place. "For thus saith the Lord: WE HA VE HEARD A VOICE of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? Wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, .is a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into palness? Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it, even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it". (Jer. 30 :6-8). "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be earthquakes in divers places and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows". In time of this prophecy there were seven churches with

seven golden candlesticks. There were seven churches. A Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes in which were the seven .spirits of God (Rev. 5:6). There will be tribulations worse than the world has ever known. If it were not for the elect's sake there will be no flesh saved. For the elect's sake the time will be shortened. Here is what the angel told Daniel: "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks , and threescore and two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall the Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate" (Dan. 9 :24-37). What does this say? Until the Messiah was crucified there had been sixty-nine weeks of years. That figures out exactly from the going forth to the building of Jerusalem. But there is to be one more week of years, or seven years, after the antichrist makes a covenant with the Jews. That is Jacob's trouble, or seven years of tribualtion days at the end time. That is the time of Jacob's trouble, or the seven years that the wrath of God will be poured out on the earth. The Jews were blind. They claimed that they believed in the Holy Scriptures. Jesus told them concerning these Scriptures, "These are they which do testify of me (John 5:39). 20

Prophecy told them that there would be sixty-nine weeks until Messiah would be cut off. Sixty-nine weeks of years were four hundred and eighty three years. Sixty-nine weeks after the command to rebuild Jerusalem, Jesus was crucified. Then there will be the seventh week, or seven years, left until the end, I saw a freight train one day. It side-tracked on a switch. I wondered why it side-tracked. Then I saw a special passenger train come through. After the passenger train came by the freight train rolled back on the main line and resumed its journey. Both of them were traveling at the same time then. The passenger train was ahead. Four hundred and eighty-three years after Ezr-a went to rebuild Jerusalem the Jews were side tracked. The church came through, the Holy Ghost special. As it passed on- the Jews will get on the main line again (Rom. Chapter 9). Daniel was writing to his own people when he told them there would be sixty-nine weeks, plus one week. He did not see the church period, as it did not concern the subject. Three and One Half Years The last half of this seven years of tribulation is to be the Great Tribulation, when the wrath of God is poured without mixture. It is poured out) mixed with mercy, up until the last half of the seven years. This three and one half years is spoken of as times times and dividing of times. It is spoken of as forty-two months. It is known as twelve hundred and ninety days. Under the inspiration of the Spirit; James told how the cries of the poor will enter into the ears of the Lord in the last days. He will hear their cries and come to reap the harvest of the earth. The people will be oppressed to the point that they will cry out to the Lord as the Children of Israel cried unto God when Pharaoh oppressed them. He will send the "prophet like unto Moses" (Deut. 18 :15). God tells us to be patient until He receives the early and the latter rain. Speaking of that awful time He says: "Take my brethren, the prophets who have spoken in the name of

the Lord, for an example of suffering affiication, and of patience. He, no doubt was thinking of Job, Stephen, James, Daniel and many more that suffered afflictions for the name of the Lord. Next, in the same chapter, he says, "Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain; and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months" (James 5: 17). Read the story of Elijah and you will see that there were three and one-half years of drought. The nations of the earth were seeking his life. God fed him supernaturally in the wilderness for three and one-half ye31rs. It is during three and one-half years that the woman, a company of people that testifies to Jesus Christ, will be chased out into the wilderness. God will provide for them for three and one-half years. They can't buy or sell unless they line up with the antichrist church and the dragon. They will not receive a ration book if they hold to their testimony of Jesus Christ. We are men of like passions as Elijah. Speaking of the antichrist in the seventh chapter of Daniel we see that he will prevail against the saints that will be left here at that time. He shall devour the whole earth, tread it down and break it into pieces. He will speak against the Most High. He will wear out the saints of the Most High (destroy them). They will be given into his hands for "a time and times and dividing of times" (Dan. 7:25). That is the same three and one-half years as the other scriptures speak of. It is the last half of Jacob's trouble, or the last half of the seventh week. It is the last half of the seven years of trouble that will come on this earth. This period is so important that it is explained to Daniel in the ninth chapter. Gabriel came with a message from God. Daniel was told about the seventy weeks. He is told this about the antichrist: " ... and the end thereof shall be with a flood" (Dan. 9 :26). No doubt this is the same flood that the antichrist uses to chase the woman into the wilderness in Revelation Twelve. What kind of flood is it? The rest of the verse is, "and unto the end of the WAR desolations are determined"

Jesus speaks of this when He speaks of the tribulations that shall come worse then the world has ever known (Matt. 24:15). Daniel continues, "And He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week (seven years): and in THE MIDST OF THE WEEK He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate ... " (Dan. 9:27). He is speaking of the same time in Daniel Twelve when he says that there will be a time of trouble," such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time." How important is this time?" And I heard the man clothed in linen ... when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half ... " (Dan. 12 :7). These are the same three and one-half years. It is still speaking of the antichrist. And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. The same three and one half years (Dan. 12 :4). Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried (Verse 10). Why will the people be chased out into the wilderness, persecuted and finally put to death? (Rev. 13 :7, 15). They failed to be overcomers. They failed to put on the wedding garment. They failed to have their vessels full of oil. They failed to pray always that they might be counted worthy to escape the things to come on the world. They failed to look for the Lord and be caught up to meet Him. They will be left here to be purified, by being chased into the wilderness and persecuted, by giving their life for their testimony (Rev. 6:11). The seventh week (the last seven years of this dispensation) is about ready to begin. The covenant with the Jews may take place any time (secretly or openly). This seven years is the time of Jacob's trouble. In the middle of the week something is going to take place. The woman will be chased out into the wilderness. The man child will be caught up to God. 23

Chapter IV

keep the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ then her offspring is a company of people that keep the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ" (Rev. 12:17). Some people object to this, because they have been taught that there will be no saints at all here during the three and one half years that the antichrist is in charge, or the time the wrath of God is poured out without mixture. If you will read Revelation Thirteen you will see that the beast will put the saints to death during this three and one half years. " ... and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months ... And it was given to him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them ... and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed (Rev. 13: 5,7,15). Some people tell their congregation that all members will be caught away before the tribulation days. The two witnesses will prophesy right up to the last of the tribulation days. If the Holy Spirit was caught away, as some people teach, how could the two witnesses prophesy? Some say that the, two witnesses are two companies of people say they are two men. In either case they will be working miracles and prophesying. The abomination that maketh desolate will be set up in Jerusalem at the middle of the week, at the beginning of the last three and one half years. The Gentiles (the last world empire - the ten toes of Nebuchadnezzar's image) will trod
If the woman is a company of people that

down the holy city "forty and two months", three and (,ilt! half years (Rev. 11 :2). The two witnesses will preach for three and one-half years. "And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two h undred and threescore days" (Rev. 11:3). They will be clothed in sackcloth. Fire comes out of their mouth' and destroys the ones that try to hurt them. If anvone tries to kill them, they will be killed in the same manner. They will shut up heaven that there will be no rain during these three and one half years ([{ev. 11 :6). Thev will have the Elijah ministry. He shut lip heaven that there was not rain for three and one-half years. The two witnesses will turn the water to blood anytime they choose, during this three and one-half years. They can smite the earth with plagues. At the last of the three and one-half years the two witnesses will be killed. They will lie in the streets of Jerusalem fur three and one-half days. They will ascend to heaven as the people look on. AT THIS TIME Jesus will set up His thousand year reign (Rev. 11 :15). This is at the end of the three and one-half years of Great Tribulation. That is at the end of the Gentile supremacy. The "Stone cut out of the mountain" will crush down the ten kingdoms. Resurrection Gleaning's has three parts, first fruits, main harvest. and the gleanings. The resurrection has first fruits, main ha r vest. and the gleanings. The first fruits are the people that resurrected when Jesus arose (Matt. 27 :52). The main harvest will be when the overcomers will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, at the beginning of the three and one-half years. The gleanings will be when the two witnesses are resurrected. The saints that are martyred during the three and one-half years will be resurrected at that time. Just as the people saw the first fruit that came out of their graves so the people will see the ones that are resurrected during the gleanings (Rev. 11 :12).
A harvest

The Main Harvest The main resurrection of the righteous dead will be at the middle of the week, at the beginning of the three and onehalf years. "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore COMFORT one another with these words" (I Thes. 4: 16-18). If you tell me that I must stay here during the seven woes that are to be poured out on the earth, that would not be much comfort to me. If you want to comfort a dear saint do not tell him that he is appointed to wrath. Tell him that he can be an overcomer and be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. Don't tell him that he will be left here and have his head cut off. That is no comfort. Some carnal people do not like for us to tell them that they must be an overcomer, and be among the very elect, if they want to go to heaven without dying. It takes more to go to heaven without dying than it does to die to get there. The people all through the Old Testament period were looking for a man child to be born to them. A man child has always been a choice child. If you want to be in the man child company and be caught up alive to meet the Lord, then you must have on the whole armour of God. Overcomers Some have said that Jesus is the man child, but Jesus was not caught up as soon as He was born. He will rule the nations with a rod of iron. So shall the overcomers (Rev.2 :27). Jesus was an overcomer. So are we. Since Jesus is an overcomer He is part of the man child company. "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as J overcame, and am set down with my Father on His throne" (Rev. 3 :21). Some people are overcomers and will receive a special reward (Rev. 3 :21). Others will fail to overcome some things. 26

They will be left here to be under the beast rule. They will be persecuted. That is the only way they will be purified and made white (Dan. 12 :10. Dan. 11 :35). But there are some people that are looking for the Lord. Jesus will come and snatch them away that are without spot or blemish (Eph. 5 :27). The gl'OUP that is left here is the "remnant." They will have to overcome the beast by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony (Rev. 12:11). They will seal their testimony with their own blood (Rev. 13 :7). Many Martyrs There have been many martyrs in the last thousands of years, but they must wait for the martyrs during the three and one-half years, the last part of the seventh week. Those who have been 'cilled for their testimony are under the altar crying for their blood to be avenged on the antichrist group during the last three and one-half years. "And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, 0 Lord, holy and true, doest thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto everyone of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled" (Rev. 6 :10-11). You will notice that the next verse goes right into the time that the moon is turned into blood and the sun is turned into darkness. Every mountain flees away and the islands cannot be found. That is ill the very last part of the three and one-half years. I hope that I am in the man child group which will be with the Lord in the air at that time. We must comfort one another with these words. That is a great comfort to me. The Midnight Hour Talking- about the snatching away Jesus said, "Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virg-ins, which took their lamps, and went to meet the brideg-room." (Matt. 25:1) "And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him."

If we read on here we see that the wise virgins are looking for the bridegroom. They have their vessels full of oil. The foolish virgins did have their vessels full, but they had neglected to get a refilling. They were left here. While they went to get a refilling the bridegroom came. The wise virgins go to the marriage supper. What time is it? We have been living at the end of the sixth day a long time (sixth thousand years). Between the sixth and seventh day there will be a great night time. Seven years of Jacob's trouble. At the middle of this great time (at midnight) the cry will be made. The bridegroom will come and catch us up to the marriage supper if we are without a spot or blemish. It was at midnight that Moses (a prophet like unto Moses) is coming to carry us to the marriage supper in the air. We will sing the song of Moses and the Lamb (Rev. 15:3). At midnight Ruth went to the feet of Boaz. He took unto himself a Gentile bride. At midnight Jesus will come and snatch away a Gentile bride. At midnight Paul and Silas begin to sing praises unto God. The doors were opened. There was a great deliverance. Jesus said when we see all these things BEGIN to come to pass for us to lift LIP our heads and rejoice. Our redemption draweth nigh (Luke 21:28). Jesus is coming for them that look for Him. If we are really looking for Him we will be ready. We will go back with Him. If we are not looking for Him we will not look up and rejoice. Wt may be left here in the woman group to be chased out into the wilderness. The foolish virgins, no doubt, represent the Fundamental denominations that are contented with their normal church services. Nowhere in the Bible do we find that Jesus is coming back for all the members of the organized church. He is coming for overcomers. There is a vast difference in those that are watching for Him, and keeping their vessels full, and they that are Sunday Christians, those that are interested in worldly pleasure, and have neglected their prayer life. At midnight the man child company will be caught up.

The Snatching Away The snatching away is a different time to His One time He comes as a thief (Rev. 16:15; Matt. At the end of the Great Tribulation years He touches the earth. Every eye shall see Him (Rev.

revelation. 24:37-44). comes and 1:7; Zech.

There is a difference in the mere professor and those that are full of the Holy Ghost. If the Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in us, He shall quicken our mortal body by the Spirit that dwell in us (Rom. R:ll). If we are not full of the Holy Ghost the Spirit does not dwell in us (John

We must pray always that we might be counted worthy to escape these things that are coming on the earth. If we could not escape them Jesus certainly would not mock us by telling us that we can (Luke 21 :36). If you could escape these things that are coming on the earth by just going to church once each week, and looking at television the rest of the time, God certainly would not have told us that we must pray always. I-Ie said we must assemble ourselves together much more as we see the day approaching (Heb. 10 :25). If this was not necessary God would not put that in the Bible only to fill space. At the time of the snatching away the foolish virgins are not the elect. When they go back and get their vessels full then they become the elect. God elects them later. The ones that are neglecting their salvation are not in the elect. They will not escape (Heb, 2 :1-4). For the elect's sake the time will be shortened. That shows that God wants us to be overcomers and escape these things that are coming on the world. The Whole Armour The Lord tells us to take the whole armour of God that we can escape this power of the devil (Eph. 6: 13). If we could escape without the whole armour He would not mock us by telling us that. Who can say that the member that neglects the great salvation, and neglects getting filled with the Holy Spirit, has the whole armour of God? 29

It is death to the carnal man for us to say that God will make a difference in those who have on the whole armour and the lazy professor who can never be caught on the job; the ones that run to get a milkshake instead of going to the prayer room and praying others through to the Holy Ghost. They are not looking for Jesus to come, or they would be trying to get others ready. They cannot help others any further along than they are themselves. We are not appointed to wrath (I Thes 5 :9). If you are here when the wrath of God is poured out that is not because God appointed you. It is because you neglected the great salvation, with gifts of the Holy Ghost. Just b~cause Enoch was caught up without dying did not mean that his wife and children did not go to heaven by the way of the grave. God made a difference. Just because Elijah went up without dying does not mean that the seven thousand reserved in the wilderness, did not go to heaven by the way of the grave. If you want to, you can be in the man child company, and be caught up. The Man Child The church is likened to many things. In one place it is compared to a building (Eph. 2 :21). In another place it is likened to a full-grown man (Eph. 4 :13). Then it is like the body of Christ (1 Cor. 12). We see it as a bride, (Rev. 21 :2) a virgin) (II Cor. 11:2) a wife, (Rev. 19 :7); also a temple (Eph, 2:21); then a nation} (I Peter 2:9),lively stones, spiritual house, priesthood; (I Peter 2 :5) ; husbandry (I Cor. 3 :9) The offspring of the woman is likened to a man child (Rev. 12 :5) The elect group is to be holy, without blemish (Eph. 5 :27) Weare to present our body as a living sacrifice and make ourselves ready. As the espoused virgin we are to have on the wedding garment (Matt. 22:3-12). The man child group is a choice group, a special people. These will be a people that contend for the faith that was once given to the saints. This a group that coveted earnestly the best gift. This is the group that would not bow, bend, or burn. These people would not compromise. They preach the

gospel without fear or favor. They preach holiness and separation from the world. They are the sons of God. They do the works of Jesus (John 14 :12). As He is so are we in this world (I John 4 :17). As God has sent Jesus so He has sent us (John 20: ) We are to take up the works that He left off. We are to follow the example that He set before us. We are to rule and reign with Him. Woman in the Wilderness , She has been in the heavenlies. She is not there any longer. She IS an earthly woman now. The earth helped her. The moon is no longer under her feet after Satan is cast down to the earth. She is running from Satan. She is no longer clothed with the sun after she brings forth the man child. She is in the wilderness for the three and' one-half years. Before the woman brings forth the man child Satan is ir, the heaven lies. Now he is cast to earth with ALL his angels. There is a "woe, woe, woe" pronounced on all who are left here. Read about these woes in Revelation Fifteen and Six. teen and see if anyone can stand these woes and remain alive. This "remnant" will be beheaded for their testimony. (Rev. 12:11). These people will be persecuted by Satan. He will be down here with them (Rev. 12:13). Satan will be cast down to earth having great wrath. He knows that he will only have a short time. Some people will go to heaven by being snatched up. Some will go by sealing their testimony with their own blood. The woman is in great pangs now. She is in travail. She is miserable. She does not seem to understand that such a supernatural child is about to be born. She can't understand these miracle workers and gifted men, who can't be satisfied to settle down and play church. She does not' seem to know that she is about to produce a group of supermen with the gifts, who have power over all the power of the devil. Above all she can't see that they will be snatched up as was Elijah. I pray God right now that you will live an overcoming life; take unto you the whole armour of God, and pray always that you will be counted worthy to escape these things that

are coming on the earth. I pray that you will take unto you the whole armour, the wedding garment, and the full vessel. I pray that you will be an overcomer. I pray that you will be determined to be in the man child company. Dear Lord, help this reader to make that consecration just now in Jesus Name. Amen and amen.
