The concept of the "Village Trek" is unique as it provides an insight into the lives and daily routine of the Kumaoni villagers in the foothills of the Indian Himalayas. Overnight stays in the village houses give you a chance to experience their warm and genuine hospitality. The accommodation is rustic but clean and has all the basic amenities. The walks end at a different village each afternoon and this short trek can be slotted into any Indian itinerary.

In order for people to experience a slice of a game ranger's exciting life, Wildspace has teamed up with a South African partner operating a two week long Field Guide Training. Our Game Ranger Experience will give participants a taste of what it is like to be a game ranger and will focus on some of the more interesting aspects of the job including the counting and monitoring of animals, the maintenance of fences, the supply of water, and how to measure the physical condition of animals.

The Sterkfontein Cave system, just outside Johannesburg, is the site w here the oldest hum an skeletal rem ains in the w orld w ere found. Since 1936, num erous early hom inid rem ains have been found at the site, som e of w hich date back 3,5 m illion years. This is quite literally the place w here the hum an race was born! In 2000, Sterkfontein situated w as w as declared the a World of Heritage Site and the area in w hich it is nam ed 'Cradle Hum ankind'.

Combining the Sanskrit word for 'peace' with kora or 'circular pilgrimage' in Dzongkha, the Bhutanese language, Amankora is a series of lodges across the central and western valleys of Bhutan.
