HISTORY OF BANKING Banking is nearly as old as civilization. The amendment of banking regulation act in 1993 saw the entry of new private sec
. The problem faced by the banking indust ry soon surfaced in their balance sheets. Assets classification and loan loss provisioning were put in plac e and capital adequacy ratio become mandatory. The casualt y was to the customer service declined. Thus the whole of the banking system in the country has undergone a radical change. They mistakenly believed the technology would lead to retrenchment and e ventually the marginalization of unions.
