Applications are invited from the candidates of Tamil Nadu for admission to the following Undergraduate Degree Courses of the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University for the academic year 2011-2012. I. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION 1. Qualifying Examination and Minimum Marks Candidates who are applying for B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.F.Sc./ B.Tech. (Food Processing Technology)/ B.Tech. (Poultry Production Technology) degree courses should have passed HSC (10+2) / CBSE / other examinations recognized as equivalent thereto with the marks as prescribed below: (a) For B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.F.Sc. degree course: (i) ACADEMIC STREAM Subjects studied in HSC/ equivalent course 1. Biology (or) Zoology and Botany 2. Chemistry and Physics taken together 3. Aggregate of (1) and (2) should not be less than VOCATIONAL STREAM Subjects studied in HSC/equivalent course 1. Biology 2. Vocational stream candidates will be considered in B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. degree courses only against the seats reserved for them. MODE OF SELECTION Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the HSC/equivalent examination as per the Government Orders. III. APPLICATION FORMS Separate application form should be used for B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.F.Sc., B.Tech. (Food Processing Technology) and B.Tech.(Poultry Production Technology) degree courses. Request letter for application forms should contain the name of the candidate and the course for which the application (B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.F.Sc. / B.Tech. - Food Processing Technology / B.Tech. - Poultry Production Technology) is required.
