Twoface Feline
Is this funny or iconic?
Aptly called a Janus Cat, pertaining to the Roman god with two faces -- hes back in the news today, thanks to an Associated Press pickup of a Worcester Telegram & Gazette feature on this amazing feline Regardless, this cat will always be a great story.

Youve probably heard of Two-Face in Batman. But you would have never imagined theres an honestto-goodness real deal! Well, meet Janus, your twoface cat. Heres one instance when being two-faced isnt a bad thing, especially when it lands you in the Guinness records for defying death.
Frank and Louie is one cool cat, born in Massachusetts 12 years ago with separate faces and given little chance of surviving beyond a few hours. Thats what they said back then. But look at him now!

Andrey Pavlov, a Russian photographer with commendable theatrical background chose a unique way of storytelling combining both the media. He devotedly studied the lives of ants, and planted histrionic props on their trails. There he photographed them live as if in a drama or movie. Except for the planned stage settings, all the rest is natural; no photo editing gimmicks involved, vouches the photographer.

Come see the great moments of simple joviality, grant imagination, poignancy, and even some sublime philosophising.

Really Now!

There have been many versions of this list over the years, and some emails have credited Andy Rooney as the original author.

And when God, who created the entire universe with all of its glories, decides to deliver a message to humanity, He will NOT use as His messenger a person on cable TV with a bad haircut.

If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved its full potential, that word would be meetings.
There is a very fine line between hobby and mental illness.

The most powerful force in the universe is gossip.

You will never find anybody who can give you a clear and compelling reason why we observe daylight savings time.
The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background is that, deep down inside, we ALL believe we are above-average drivers.

The main accomplishment of almost all organized protests is to annoy people who are not in them. A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person.
Dont think that because a person is having fun they are drinking to excess. Some people have fun naturally, and you need to find out how they do it.

Never fry anything when you are naked.

I wish you

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting. I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them but then an entire life to forget them. TAKE TIME TO LIVE and enjoy enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.

tanding near the security gate at the airport, a mother and daughter hugged each other and the mother said, I love you and I wish you enough.

The daughter replied, Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom. They kissed and the daughter left. You could see the mother wanted and needed to cry. The person nearest her tried not to intrude on her privacy but she welcomed it by asking, Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?. Yes, I have, the man replied. Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?. I am old and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - her next trip back will be for my funeral, she said. When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, I wish you enough. May I ask what that means?. She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail and she smiled even more. When we said , I wish you enough, we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them. Then turning toward the man, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.

I WIsH You ENouGH.

Do you have fear of vehicles? If so then you are the victim of one of the more dreaded phobias in the world. Phobias are nothing but unrelated fear of objects, events and situations. Here are some of the most dreaded phobias people suffer from:

It is the fear of vehicles. Driving or riding in a vehicle scares some people. Such people try and avoid vehicles by making all sorts of excuses except admitting that they fear vehicles. The reasons could be speed, fear of losing control, accident or the very smell of the fuel.

One of the most common among many is Claustrophobia the Fear of enclosed places. Such persons avoid congested or crowded places for fear of getting trapped or confined. Even the thought of it makes them breathless.

The fear of flying in an airplane. Experiences of seeing an air disaster or the trauma of flying in a stormy weather conditions are main reasons.

This kind of fear is very common when someone has forced the person to enter deep water or learn swimming. This can extend from shallow to deep waters or even at times getting wet.

This category of people is very hygiene conscious. Sanitation and cleanliness are so embossed on their minds that even little filth puts them off. They will wash their hands after smallest of activity.

The very name of a doctor or surgeon upsets some people. It includes any one concerned with surgery, medical tests, injections or even giving simple medicines.

People in this class get scared with slightest signs of an oncoming storm. May be due an experience of the past they have developed this. They will start shivering, sweating or even praying in distress.

Many times we see people faint by the sight of blood. They have this phobia called Hemaphobia. Fear of losing, donating or even receiving blood affects them.

ncorporate more physical activity into your daily routine and gradually work up to the 30-minute goal to improve health and manage your weight. If you have a chronic health problem such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, or high blood pressure, ask your physician or health care provider about what type and amount of physical activity is right for you. e all want to keep our children safe and secure and help them live to their full potential. Knowing how to prevent leading causes of child injury, like poisoning, is a step toward this goal. Every day, children all over the world ages 0 to 19 are treated in an emergency department, and two children die, as a result of being poisoned. Its not just chemicals in your home marked with clear warning labels that can be dangerous to children. Everyday items in your home, such as household cleaners and medicines, can be poisonous to children as well. Active, curious children will often investigate and sometimes try to eat or drinkanything thats left out and within their reach.

Thankfully, there are ways you can help poison-proof your home and protect the children you love.

Lock them up. Keep medicines and toxic products, such cleaning solutions, in locked or childproof cabinets. Read the label. Follow label directions and read all warnings when giving medicines to children. Dont keep it if you dont need it. Safely dispose of unused, unneeded, or expired prescription drugs. Be aware that if you dispose of unused medicines, they can be mixed with coffee grounds or kitty litter to make them less appealing to children.

Amazing Phone Book T

aking an ordinary phone book, Alex Queral carves a face into this object of so many faceless names. With the book, a very sharp X-ACTO knife, a little pot of acrylic medium to set detail areas and a great deal of talent, Queral literally peels away the pages like the skin of an onion to reveal the portrait within. Once the carving is complete, he will often apply a black wash to enhance the features and then seal the entire book with acrylic to preserve the work. However, he never loses the line registration; and the book remains quite pliable.

Damaging habits
No Breakfast

People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level. This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power. It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

High Sugar consumption

Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

Air Pollution
The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

Working your brain during illness

Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.

Sleep Deprivation
Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.

Lacking in stimulating thoughts

Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

Head covered while sleeping

Sleeping with the head covered increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

Talking Rarely
Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain.

A RAINBOW at the palm of your hand.

This book started as a personal project of MASASHI KAWAMURA in summer 2007, and was soon published from a Japanese bookstore Utrecht. Its a flipbook, but rather than seeing animation, it creates a 3D rainbow in your hand. Since being published it has been featured on Japanese TV, Newspapers, major news & blogsites like yahoo news, coolhunting and fffffound. This book won the NY ADC silver cube.

A new concept flip book that will create a 3D rainbow instead of an animation. Really cool! You can buy it online from several selected book stores, Utrecht(JPN), Stereohype(UK), Printed Matter(US) The 36-page book has an image of the color spectrum against a black background on each page, creating the illusion of an arced rainbow hovering above the pages as the pages flip by. If you are resourceful enough, heck, you can make one of your own.

Ways to Reduce the Risk of Cardiovascular Disease

esearch conducted in 52 countries reveals several controllable risk factors attribute to 90% of all heart attacks. Previously, it was believed only half of the heart attacks were caused by factors such as smoking and cholesterol. Today, most heart attacks can be pinpointed to one or more of the risk factors mentioned below. These factors are neither gender specific nor related to a particular ethnic group.

1. Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle

Smoking changes the viscosity of blood. This can potentially lead to clumping in the blood vessels that supply the heart. A study states that smoking inhibits vitamin and mineral uptake, depletes levels of vitamin C, and creates a toxic internal environment. Giving up smoking can help avoid cancer and lower the risk of heart disease. Vitamin C is a highly effective antioxidant; it protects molecules in the body from damage

2. Watch Cholesterol Intake

It is important to not only control your cholesterol, but to decrease fat intake when faced with the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack, stroke, and other disorders caused by fatty depos-

its of plaque in the artery walls. Bad saturated fats (butter, cheese, red meat, fast foods) increases your blood cholesterol. The body has its own daily quota for cholesterol production.

3. Control High Blood Pressure

It is found that half of all people who suffer a first-time heart attack and two-thirds of first-time stroke victims, had moderate to high blood pressure. If left untreated, high blood pressure can increase the risk of atherosclerosis, aneurysms, loss of vision, and kidney failure. Normal blood pressure is considered to be 120/80. Experts have advocated eating less salt as a way of controlling blood pressure plus mineral-rich foods and herbs like folic acid, and branched chain amino acids are known to naturally help control blood pressure.

4. Reduce Unnecessary Stress

Stress if left unchecked can have a negative impact on both physical and mental health. 80% of all health related problems are attributed to stress. Stress slows the bodys metabolism thus allows fat to linger in the blood advancing the development of atherosclerosis.

5. Diet and Exercise

Research conducted around the world showed waist circumferences of > 34 inches in men and > 32 inches in women increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. It is a measure of abdominal fat, which is most closely associated with heart attacks. Walking is not only relaxing but a great, lowimpact way to lose weight.

80% of all health related problems are attributed to stress.
