Here Comes Santa Claus! Here Comes Santa Claus! Here Comes Santa Claus! Here Comes Santa Claus!

Here comes Santa Claus!
Here comes Santa Claus!
Right down Santa Claus Lane!
Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer
are pulling on the reins.
Bells are ringing, children singing;
All is merry and bright.
Hang your stockings and say your prayers,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.
Here comes Santa Claus!
Here comes Santa Claus!
Right down Santa Claus Lane!
He's got a bag that is filled with toys
for the boys and girls again.
Hear those sleigh bells jingle jangle,
What a beautiful sight.
Jump in bed, cover up your head,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

Rudolph, the Red Rudolph, the Red Rudolph, the Red Rudolph, the Red- -- -Nosed Reindeer Nosed Reindeer Nosed Reindeer Nosed Reindeer

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
you would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
play in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas eve
Santa came to say:
"Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
Then all the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee:
"Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history!"

Silent night Silent night Silent night Silent night

Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent night, holy night,
Shepherds quake at the sight,
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavely hosts sing alleluia;
Christ the Saviour, is born!
Christ the Saviour, is born!
Silent night, holy night,
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face,
With the dwan of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.

Away In A Manger Away In A Manger Away In A Manger Away In A Manger

Away in a manger no crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head.
The stars in the sky look down where He lay,
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing the Baby awakes,
But little Lord Jesus , no crying He makes.
I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky,
And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh.
Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever, and love me, I pray.
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care,
And take us to heaven to live with Thee there.

We Three Kings We Three Kings We Three Kings We Three Kings
We three Kings of the Orient are,
Bearing gifts we traverse far
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star.

O, star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy Perfect Light.

(Melchior)
Born a King on Bethlehem's plain,
Gold I bring to crown Him again;
King forever, ceasing never,
Over us all to reign.

O, star of wonder, star of night …

(Caspar)
Frankincense to offer have I;
Incense owns a Deity nigh;
Pray'r and praising, all men raising,
Worship Him, God on high.

O, star of wonder, star of night …

(Balthazar)
Myrrh is mine; its bitter perfume
Breathes a life of gathering gloom;
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying.
Seal'd in the stone-cold tomb.

O, star of wonder, star of night,…

Glorious now behold Him rise,
King and God and sacrifice,
Heav'n sings, Alleluia:
Alleluia the earth replies.

Frosty the Snowman Frosty the Snowman Frosty the Snowman Frosty the Snowman

Frosty the snowman
Was a jolly, happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal.

Frosty the snow man
Is a fairy tale, they say;
He was made of snow, but the children know
How he came to life one day.

There must have been some magic in
That old silk hat they found,
For when they placed it on his head,
He began to dance around.

Oh, Frosty the snow man
Was alive as he could be,
And the children say he could laugh and play
Just the same as you and me.
Frosty the snow man
Knew the sun was hot that day,
So he said, "Let's run and we'll have some fun
Now before I melt away."
Down to the village
With a broomstick in his hand,
Running here and there all around the square,
Sayin', "Catch me if you can."

He led them down the streets of town

Right to a traffic cop,
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler "Stop!"

For Frosty the snow man
Had to hurry on his way,
But he waved good-bye, sayin', "Don't you cry,
I'll be back again someday."

Thumpety thump thump, thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go;
Thumpety thump thump, thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.

Making Snow Globes Fun

Creating snow globes can be a fun family activity or an individual project. You may
use them as gifts or for personal enjoyment. Let the kids be creative in choosing or
making a scene for inside the snow globe. Small Christmas items; such as a skater,
skier, church, mailbox, Santa Claus, Snowman, Christmas Decoration, or animals
are suggestions.

Items needed:
• Crushed eggshell for the snow.
• Mineral or baby oil.
• A clear glass jar with a tight fitting lid. (Small round jars like marinated
artichokes or pimientos are packed in work quite well. Craft stores
sometimes have a little taller jar with the same tight fitting lid.
• Paint for the lid. Acrylic Paint works well.
• Glue or a glue gun.
Hard boil an egg (salt in the water makes them easier to peel). Cool the egg in cold
water before removing the shell. Peel the thin layer carefully from inside the shell.
This prevents the shell from floating. Crush the shell well to get small pieces. Use
a rolling pin or a pestle and small bowl which is also used for grinding spices.

Clean the jar and lid thoroughly and dry well. Give the outside of the lid a couple
coats of paint, letting it dry well between coats. Take a bit of fine sandpaper and
lightly sand the inside of the lid so the scene will attach well. Glue your scene to
the inside of the lid and let dry for several hours. Be sure to glue the scene so it will
fit into the jar opening and the lid will close.

Place the jar on a double layer of paper towel and add about ½ tsp. of crushed
eggshell. Pour in the oil, filling to the top, leaving enough space for the scene. If
you don’t fill it enough you will have an air bubble inside. Some oil will spill over
which isn’t a problem. Just wash the globe with dish soap and warm water and dry
well. Twist the lid on tight! Shake well and enjoy. * Glitter can be used instead of
eggshell for the snow. Be sure to get the heavier glitter as the light weight variety
will not fall like snow but float on top of the oil like a cloud.

These units have been compiled together with and by my daughters,
who have had enormous fun doing “dictionary work” and then
sourcing appropriate graphics. A variety of clipart resources have
been used, most notably Microsoft Clipart Collections, FG-A,
www.ho,eschoolinglibrary.com, Wikipedia, Wiki-Know,
www.keltawebconcepts.com.au and Free Classroom Clipart.
Copyright free images were also sourced through Google. The
Christmas Collection of Activity Books also utilises clipart licensed to
myself. Some of the resources I have obtained via websites over the
years and do not have details of the origins thereof. Should you come
across any of the artwork in this document that has not been credited
appropriately, and know of the origins, kindly let me know in order that I
may post the relevant credits and thanks. No copyright infringement is
intended in any manner whatsoever. Some activities in this book were
inspired by Jennifer Mitchell, M.S.Ed.,CCC-SLP, whom I did attempt to
contact with no success. Sincere thanks for your inspiration.
