Aaron, founder of Music Matters 101, studied Guitar Performance at The Atlanta Institute of Music. He teaches many styles including blues, rock and jazz, specializing in improvisation. Aaron has taught locally for five years, and most recently, he started the Music Matters Summer Rock Band Camps. John is a graduate of the Atlanta Institute of Music with a degree in Guitar Performance. He teaches all popular styles including, rock, blues, and funk. John has been teaching at Music Matters for over two years, and has 14 years of playing experience. John has performed with many bands, and ensembles. Andrew is pursuing his degree in Music Education at GSU. He has been playing violin for 13 yrs, and has been teaching privately for 5 years. He has performed with the Atlanta Philharmonic as well as the Georgia Philharmonic, and is currently in a string quartet called "Phoenix Strings". Josh is pursuing his degree in Guitar Performance at the Atlanta Institute of Music. He is currently playing around town with a band called "Hightown Shelter". He specializes in Blues, Funk, and rock. He can also teach in open tunings, as well as slide guitar. Jason has been studying drums for 20+ years. He graduated from the McNally-Smith College of Music in Minneapolis, MN with a degree in drum performance. He has performed in the Wilkes University Perc. Ensemble, and is currently performing with the Atlanta-based band "Liquid Jungle". Trevor has been studying guitar for 20+ years. he graduated from Appalachain State University in Boone, NC with a degree in Guitar performance. Trevor is currently performing with the band "Silver Apple". He specializes in teaching Jazz, classical and rock guitar, as well as Bluegrass banjo. Leslie is a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio, where she studied Music Education and Vocal Performance. She currently is the Director of Music Education for Music Matters 101 Leslie has performed as a piano and vocal soloist in various festivals and ensembles, and has received numerous awards and accolades. Christian studied guitar at the Berklee College of Music, and finished his degree in Guitar performance at the Atlanta Institute of Music. He has been playing guitar for 12 years. He is fluent in a variety of styles, including rock, jazz, blues and classical.
