WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Education did request that the proposed budget for the 20122013 fiscal year be amended to add $428,265 in unexpended 2010-2011 pre-school education funds to the proposed budget for 2012-2013 thereby increasing the total appropriations from $62,101,247 to $62,529,512, and WHEREAS, the Board of Education has amended its proposed budget for the school year beginning July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2013 and has estimated the sum of $62,529,512 to be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the public schools of the School District of the City of Hoboken for the school year 2012-2013, and RESOLVED, that there should be raised via taxation for General Fund $36,479,095 for the ensuing school year 2012-2013.
