Terri Douglas combines a laser-focused commitment to client service with a tenacious pursuit of bottom-line results.
A veteran of the high-tech world, she has more than 25 years experience leading the PR/IR activities of industry leaders and emerging growth companies. At Catapult, Douglas is responsible for the strategy, development and execution of customized PR programs that move your business forward. She also leads investor relations initiatives, and assists with positioning and messaging and corporate public relations. Prior to Catapult, Douglas served as CEO and founder of Douglas Communications, Inc., an independent, full-service public and investor relations firm specializing in hightech markets. Douglas Communications provided cost-effective and qualitative results for broad range of clients in varying technology markets, including Corporate Express, NBI, Capital Associates, Cellular One, DeviceGuys, Spatial Technology and the Software Edge. In addition, Douglas has an extensive investor relations background with more than 18 years experience defining and implementing strategic IR programs that increase business value and shareholder confidence. Almost half this experience she garnered as an employee for the various high technology companies in which she worked — most often as Investor Relations Director reporting either to the CFO or President within the organization. Douglas is the recipient of numerous awards, including PRSA's Gold Pick Annual Report Award, Financial World's Annual Report Award and two National Association of Investment Club's Nicholson Awards, recognizing excellence in Annual Report production. She serves on the National Investor Relations Institute’s Rocky Mountain Chapter. Guy Murrel provides strategic PR counsel to Catapult clients, helping them articulate their story to break through the noise and capture market leadership. With more than 20 years of experience, the last 15 focused on exclusively on the high-tech industry, Murrel has developed the positioning and messaging framework for start-ups, emerging growth companies and Fortune 1000 companies. As co-founder and principal of Catapult, Murrel is a hands-on leader with proven expertise in executing the strategic and tactical aspects of multi-dimensional public relations campaigns. By properly packaging client news for maximum editorial and analyst coverage, Murrel has developed a strong network of media contacts in IT, telecommunications, wireless, enterprise software, manufacturing and e-commerce. Prior to Catapult, Murrel was the president of Murrel Public Relations (MPR), a private company that he established in 1995 after noticing there were few full-service firms qualified to serve the growing tech community in the Denver-Boulder area. At MPR, he provided strategic, results-oriented media relations and marketing communications services to a range of technology companies. Previously, Murrel gained extensive high technology experience working for several successful public relations agencies. As a senior management partner, he performed a wide range of corporate communications functions, including strategic planning, writing of news releases and technical articles, media tours and audits, editorial outreach and management of junior staff members.
Mary Cochran is a 20-year veteran of managing strategic planning, public relations and marketing agencies. She is responsible for Catapult’s internal operations and human resource functions, and also assists in new client set-up by researching award, speaking, event and editorial calendar opportunities, as well as monitoring competitors. Since joining Catapult PR-IR in late 2000, Cochran has successfully helped to promote over 85 businesses. Cochran excels at developing organizational systems and processes, and utilizes her management experience to always keep Catapult’s operations on target. She is a master planner with the creativity to implement systems that work in the fast-paced Catapult environment. Before joining Catapult, Cochran spent several years as vice president of Growth Management Center, a California consulting firm, where she developed computer, administrative and human resource processes. Locally, Cochran worked for three years at Schwinn/GT Bicycles in Boulder. Cochran has a bachelor’s degree in management from Pepperdine University and a certificate in human resources from California State University in Long Beach. The lighter side of Mary Cochran – Mary embraces the Colorado lifestyle; trading the coastline she grew up with for the spectacular mountain views of the Front Range. On any given weekend, you might see her checking out the latest produce at the farmers market, hiking along Boulder Creek or coming out of Boulder public library with an armful of cookbooks. Like most Boulderites, Mary has a favorite Colorado ski town, and she tries to sneak off to Aspen every chance she gets. Mary and her husband Jack live in Boulder, and have two daughters.
Christie Denniston brings a passion for excellence and more than 10 years experience in public relations, marketing and corporate communications for Fortune 500 companies, start-ups and non-profit organizations. At Catapult, Denniston helps develop and execute the media and analyst relations strategies that position the firm’s clients as leaders in their respective industries. She also participates in business development and is responsible for managing many of the day-to-day media outreach, project management and client communication activities of her assigned clients. Denniston joined Catapult from Linnell Taylor Marketing, where she was an account manager with a primary focus on national technology accounts including Emerson, Micro Motion and Reaction Web. Previously, she served as director of marketing and public relations for Merit Resources, a division of Principal Financial Group. In addition to her work at Catapult, Denniston serves as an adjunct faculty member in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and is president of the Boulder Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Denniston holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in public relations, sociology and political science from Drake University. In addition, she has a Master’s degree in public administration, with an emphasis in executive leadership from Drake University.
Jeremy Douglas provides day to day account management, media relations and research. A quick learner and reliable contributor, Jeremy excels at customer service and transforming client’s requests and goals into proven results. Jeremy’s upbeat personality and attention to detail makes him a natural at media relations. Prior to Catapult, Douglas worked his way through college starting at Polo, where he was a sales representative and eventually moved up to management. At the same time, he was a Teacher’s Assistant to the Dean of Economics at Fort Lewis College where he assisted in administrative work, grading students’ work and proctoring exams. He also helped complete an economic analysis project for Fort Lewis College and the City of Durango. Jeremy received his Bachelors of Arts degree from Fort Lewis College, double majoring in Economics and Business Administration with a focus on finance.
Christin Jeffers assists in the day-to-day support of client accounts, including placing speakers at industry conferences and events, writing news releases and media advisories, and conducting media and analyst relations. She joined Catapult from JandL Marketing, Inc. where she worked as a promotion coordinator. Christin also spent four years in the Colorado State University public relations office where she ran the Hometown Release Program. She was responsible for distributing, tracking and evaluating media coverage for student achievements, including graduates, dean’s list and scholarship recipients. Jeffers holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in technical journalism with a public relations concentration and an English minor from Colorado State University.
